I Bite My Tongue So You Don't Hear Me

Dan had kissed her.
He had known her for 2 days and he kissed her.
He felt like an idiot but she was smiling.

She was sat still at the table looking into Dan's eyes.
He stood up and looked out the window.
'I'm sorry' He muttered whilst staring out at the streets of London.
'For what?' She asked walking over to his side.
'Kissing you' He said bluntly avoiding eye contact with her.
'Why?' She questioned
'Because I barely know you' He informed her.
'You know everything there is to know about me and even if its true it never stopped you before' She answered placing her hand on his shoulder 'Look you know me more than anyone else in the entire world so don't apologise'
'I just,never mind' He shrugged
'No what is it' She asked moving in front of him.
'Okay but don't laugh,I haven't been in a relationship for 3 years' He admitted
'Well I have only ever been in one relationship and that was with Austin,sadly'
He gasped.How could she date a guy who was sick enough to pour acid on her.
He place his hand on her shoulder and leant down to his her.

At that moment his phone buzzed.
It was Josh.
Contact: Josh
Message: Dude me and Abbie are gonna pop round yours for lunch
hows that girl,gemma was it?
He replied.
To: Josh
Message: Dude why didn't you tell me asshole!
Its going alright,just trying to help her,we kissed dude.

Josh never replied he asumed he was too busy talking to Abbie on there way here.
'Josh is coming over with his girlfriend' He informed her
'I'm gonna go get dressed' He told her
He went to walk out but he felt his arm being tugged.
He looked down and saw Gemma holding his arm.
'Dan,what does this mean?' She asked like a four year old
'It means I care about you and Austin won't ever hurt you not whilst I'm your boyfriend' He blurted out.
He covered his mouth after saying boyfriend.
'Boyfriend?' She giggled
'I'm sorry'
'Don't be' She put her hand on the back of his head and pulled him into a kiss
They pulled out from the kiss.
'Isn't it weird to date a guy after 2 days?' He asked
'Not when they care so much' She smiled
'Okay I'm gonna go get dressed now,babe' He stated walking away.
She began to laugh.
He turned around.
'What is it?' He asked
'Oh nothing.....babe' She laughed walking into the living room.

Whilst Dan was getting dressed the door bell went off.
Gemma went for the door.
She opened it and stood outside was the brown haired man she remember from the other day (Josh) and a ver pretty girl with brown hair wrapped around his arm.
'Hey Gemma!' Josh gretted 'Where is Dan?' He asked
'Hi,he is getting dressed,come in' She informed them.She closed the door behind them as they went to go sit down.
Dan walked in and greeted the two of them.
'I'm gonna go get drinks' Dan announced
'I will help' Josh said running after Dan.
They left the two girls in the living room talking abot TV.

Dan and Josh where making cups of tea.
Josh was sat up on the counter watching Dan pouring milk into the cups.
'So you kissed her' Josh said breaking the silence.
'Yup' He said Dan putting the milk away.
'Nice one mate' He laughed
'Its not she has her umm problems' He shrugged
Josh jumped down from the counter and placed his hand on Dan's back.
'Whats up?' Josh asked
'Its nothing,but she has her problems,I'm not exactly good with advice'
'Look if you like her,don't worry bout it'
'But-Josh its not like average problems'
'Then what is it?' He shrugged

Then the kettle blew out steam and interupted the conversation.
They poured the hot water into the cups and brought them into the living room.
'Tell me' Josh whispered to Dan as they walked in
'Let her' He muttered back at him.

They both sat next to their girlfriends on opposite sofa's.
Dan leaned into to Gemma's ear.
'Babe,please tell Josh what you told me' He whispered
'Dan I-'
'He can help,please babe' He begged placing his hand on her leg
She nodded and tooka breath.
She explained everything to Josh and Abbie.

There jaws dropped when she had finished.
Gemma had hot tears threatening to fall so buried her head within Dan's chest and he placed his hand on her head,stroking her hair.
'I'm proud of you babe' He whispered
She looked up. Her emerald eyes looking up at him with tears welling up within them.

Josh mouthed 'I'm sorry' to Dan and Dan nodded in response.
'If we can help,in any way' Josh began 'We will'
'I'm fine' She replied looking over at him through her teary eyes.
'You have Dan and he can help,even though you may say your fine you are not' He stated
'No one can through all of that and still not ask for help' Abbie butted in

Gemma looked at the two of them.
Although hurt she needed help.
She hated asking for it.
She prefers doing things her way by herself without needing others to worry.

She just nodded to all of them and buried her back in Dan's chest.
'So you will get help?' Dan asked
'I have you' She whispered
Dan smiled down at her.

'Me and Abbie will go get some lunch and bring it here' Josh informed everyone dragging Abbie out of the door with him.

'Babe' Dan said looking down at her.
'Dan' She replied looking up at him.
'I feel like this is stupid but,I love you' He mumbled

A grin appeared across her face.
'Love you' She whispered back then burying her head once more.

Her tears had dried up and she was left to listening to Dan's heartbeat.
She finally felt safe within Dan's arm.
She had this help.
She had a boyfriend.
Life seemed stable.

But she couldn't help but wonder...
How long would life stay stable....
