And Now I Scream For Everything That I've Loved

8- All night I dream of water that can wash the weight of the world from my shoulders.

AUSTIN'S P.O.V

-----------------------------------

Austin sighed a bit as he finally turned his phone on. He walked up to his bedroom and grabbed a towel. He was going to take care of this after he took a shower. He rubbed his eyes as he headed to the bathroom. He was tired, physically and emotionally. He didn't know why this argument got him so bad. "Maybe because it's true." he whispered to himself. "They're right, I'm not really into the band anymore." He sighed again, which seemed like the billionth time today, and turned the water on. All he wanted to think about was the shower now. Not the argument, not the texts that he was receiving from Gielle lately, not the pressure he felt. Just the hot water that was going to wash the weight of the world from his shoulders.

Austin sighed in happiness as the hot water ran through his body. He instantly relaxed, like he was never nervous. He let the shower take away all his thoughts. It was only him.

He stayed in the shower for lord knows how long. But when he stepped out of the shower, his skin looked..weird. He didn't really care but he quickly got dressed. With a big sigh, he checked the texts. 3 from Tino, 2 from Phil, 5 from Gielle and 9 from Alan. Oh Alan. Of course he was the first one to apologize. Alan & Austin had a weird friendship. They met in the hospital that Austin stayed for his heart surgery. They grew close since the day they met. No matter how much they argued, their friendship was always strong. Just like in this situation. 7 of Alan's messages were apologies. He sighed as he read the ones from Gielle. "Please call me as soon as possible. We need to talk." He rolled his eyes and deleted. He decided to give a call to Alan.

"Austin, are you okay? You got me so worried dude!" Alan answered immediately.

"Hey, hey calm down. I'm fine, ginger princess." Austin couldn't help but chuckle.

"Oh thank God. I was freaking out man." Alan sighed in relief.

"Anyways..I got your texts."

"Yeah. Listen, I'm so sorry for everything that I said earlier, alright?"

"Alan..do you even remember what happened?"

"Not exactly, but still."

"Alan, you were defending me. Not them." Austin laughed.

"Oh...right! You know my memory." Alan laughed also.

"Yeah, I know."

"So...everything good?"

"Yep." Austin said, smiling.

"Okay. See you tomorrow then?"

"Sounds like a plan. Bye, ginger princess."

"Bye, my prince." Alan laughed.

Austin felt his mood got better as he hung up the phone. Chatting with Alan was always amusing. He smiled at the thought of ginger best friend. He rolled his eyes as he thought of the "ship name" that fans thought for them. "Austlan Cashby". Austin shook his head and walked to the kitchen to make some coffee. Then he remembered Emma. He checked the time. It was around 1 p.m when she fell asleep. It was 5 p.m now. "She must be awake by now." He thought. He didn't get the chance to actually thank her, so he decided to give her a call.

Austin pulled out his phone as he took a sip from his coffee. Emma picked up immediately.

"Hey!" She sounded excited and happy. Austin couldn't help but smile at that.

"Hey there sleeping beauty. How are you?"

"Hey. I'm pretty good, much less tired. What about you?"

"I'm pretty good too. We talked about somethings with Alan."

"Oh? So all good?"

"I still need to talk to others, but everything is fine with Alan." He shrugged.

"I'm glad to hear that. Oh and thank you for carrying me to my room." She laughed.

"You're welcome. I thank you, for helping me. Seriously, you have no idea how much this means."

"You helped me through really bad things, Austin. Don't mention this."

"I'd say we're even, then."

"Damn right." They both laughed.

They talked a bit more, then eventually hung up. Austin couldn't believe how great their fandom was.
