The Vampire Diaries season one

Friday Night Bites

Alex’s Point of View-
I woke up sometime in the late morning. I looked to the side to read the time. It was 11:45am. I laid there for another second then decided to get dressed. Damon hadn’t come home, which didn’t really surprise me. I went to my dresser and pulled out a white tank top, along with red skinny jeans. I grabbed my leather jacket and my ring and necklace.

When I grabbed my cell on the nightstand on the right side, it rang. Flashing Damon’s cell number, I smirked and picked it up.

“Hey D, what’s up?” I asked. “Nothing much,” He started. “you wanna hang today? I rolled my eyes. “No i’m gonna hang with my other friends.” I said sarcastically. Seriously? Who else would I hang with in the idiotically small town? “Ha, funny Alex.” He replied sarcastically. “I’m at Caroline’s house.” Oh I knew he got lucky. “Ok just give me directions and i’ll be there in a few minutes.”

He gave me directions as I headed downstairs. I put on my boots. I debated whether I should take my beautiful black Porsche or run and catch a ride with Damon. I just decided to run.

When I got to her house I slowed to human speed. I knocked, well because I hadn’t ever been invited in. if I had been I just would have walked in. Damon showed up shirtless. I had to admit it, he was smoking hot. And Caroline was by his side.

“Hey Alex,” Damon greeted me with a smile. And he turned to Caroline. “Caroline can you invite Alex in, please?” I rolled my eyes when he said please. Blondie nodded. “Ok, Alex please come in.”

“Thanks.” I said clicking my tongue and walked into the house. I looked around. The house was ok. But not as good as ours.

“Caroline this is my best friend Alex,” He motioned to me. “Alex this is Caroline.”

“Nice to meet you Alex.” She told me with a genuine smile. “I know.” I told her with a saucy and predatory smile. Her smile dropped. “Um, excuse me?” Ooh this one had attitude. “Oh i’m gonna like this one, she fights back.” I told Damon. And I grabbed her hand.

“I can tell we definitely are going to be friends.” I said to Caroline as I let go of her hand, smiling.

Caroline then turned to Damon. “Hey I got to get to cheer practice.” And she’s a cheerleader. Didn’t see that coming. I thought sarcastically. “D, grab a shirt i’m riding with you guys since I walked here. I stated as Damon walked away to get his shirt.

As we walked downstairs I grabbed a scarf. “Here,” I told Caroline and handed it to her. “put this on and don’t take it off no matter what.” She nodded putting up. “I won’t take it off.” I smiled. “Good.”

Damon walked into the room fully dressed now. “Let’s go.”

Elena’s Point of View-
“Caroline’s never late.” Bonnie said and chewed on her lip. “I know,” I replied. Caroline was never late. And when others were late she would get so annoyed with them. “should we be worried?”

But she didn’t get to answer because we heard a car pull up, we both turned to see Caroline. And not alone. She was with Damon and Alex. She kissed Damon and hugged Alex. And got out of the car. Alex slid into the front seat.

“That must be the mystery guy from the grill,” Bonnie commented. “but who’s the other girl?” I sighed. “That’s not mystery guy, that’s Damon Salvatore and his best friend Alex Siren.” I explained. Bonnie looked at me. ”Salvatore?” She questioned. “As in Stefan?” I nodded. “Yeah he’s Stefan’s older brother and Alex is his adopted older sister. There both founding family families.” And that made everyone.

Damon’s Point of View-
Me and Alex were laughing all the way home and listened to music. We had successfully made Elena and her little friend notice us.

When we got home we went straight to Stefan’s room. I took a chair a propped myself up while Alex took the bed. When she propped herself up against the headboard, I tossed her a diary to read as I scanned through some others.

It was not until an about two hours later Stefan came home and ran into his room at vamp speed.

“How were tryouts, did you make the team?” I asked as we continued to read.

“Very immersing,” Alex grinned. “the way you reveal your soul with so many-“ Stefan sprinted over and ripped the diary from her hands. “Adjectives.” She finished.

“What are you two doing here?” Stefan snapped. I sighed and put down the diary. “We’ve come to apologize-“ “We’ve been doing some thinking,” Alex said. “some soul searching-“ Soul searching. I laughed mentally. “And we want to start over.” I stated. “We need to put the past behind us, you’re my little brother.” Alex nodded to agree. “And I count you as much as a little brother Damon does."

"And if you wanna live a happy, normal human life-“ “Then that’s how we want you to live-“ “Maybe we can too.” I finished. “We can learn to be non-living people-“ “Maybe there’s hope for the both of us.” A beat passed and we couldn’t stand it any longer.

We burst out laughing. We walked past him. But I hung back for a second and I clapped him on the back as we sauntered out of the room but we lingered at the door for a moment longer.

“It doesn’t have to be this way, Damon, Alex.” Stefan told us, his back turned. “Of course it does, oh and we saw Elena BTW-“ “That means by the way-“ “She was at cheerleading practice-“ “She looked so perky in her little short-shorts-“ Stefan turned around looking pissed. “Simmer down,” I told him. “we didn't even go near her.” Alex nodded. “He's got his own cheerleader now.”

Alex’s Point of View-
When I said that I had to say it as normal as possible. I would not let anyone I was jealous. It wasn’t in my nature to get that way, but when it came to Damon I got that way easily. And I hated it, with every fiber of my non-living being. I shouldn’t get this way, not over him. Not over my best friend. But I couldn’t help it, I was in love with him. But he doesn’t love me like that, not even close. And it sucks. It sucks so bad that I feel like I want to rip someone’s head off.

“That reminds me,” Damon said suddenly. “ I gotta run. I got a date. Sweaty palms, wish me luck.” I nodded numbly. “Good luck,” I replied. “tell Care I said hi.” Stefan just glared at Damon and his joking around. But when he turned to me he gave a sort of soft look. Why of all the looks he could give, why would he give me a-Did he know? I tensed. How would he possible know? I shrug it off. “What?” I questioned. “God teenagers these days. So little respect for their elders.” Yes I just answered my own question. Damon and I laughed as we left the room.

A couple hours later Damon called me telling me there was a party we need to crash. Ms. Elena was going to be graced without even knowing we were coming. I hopped into my car and skid out of the driveway. D had texted me the directions.

I had just pulled up when they had been getting out of the car. Getting out of the car I sensed someone. It was very familiar to me but yet it was new. I shook it off for the moment and walked over to D and Care.

“Sup D, hey Caroline.” D smirked at me and Caroline smiled and hugged me. We all walk up to the Gilbert’s front door. Caroline knocked; we heard footsteps coming towards the door.

“Surprise!” Caroline yelled with a smile when Elena answered. “Bonnie said you were doing dinner so we brought desert.”

“Oh.” She said clearly surprised. “Hope you don’t mind.” Damon said, cutting into the conversation. Caroline went inside the house but me and Damon remained outside. Stupid rule.

We heard another pair of footsteps coming to the door. Stefan showed up at the door looking annoyed. “What are you guys doing here?”

“Waiting to be invited in.” I deadpanned. “Oh, yeah you can-“ Elena started but was cut off by Stefan, so rude. “No, no, no they can't, um, they can't stay.” He told Elena. Tsk’tsk Stefan, you’ll have to make up better things them that.”Can you, Damon, Alex?” He questioned. “Come on.” Caroline said cutting in.

“We're just finishing up.” Stefan said ignoring Caroline, who was ignored by Elena. “It’s fine just come on in.” And with that the invisible barrier that hadn’t allowed us to enter the house. We both smirked in triumph at Stefan. Damon walked in first then I followed him. “You have a lovely home Elena.” I commented. She really did. “Thank you.” She smiled.

Bonnie’s Point of View-
Caroline, along with Damon and Alex, just showed up. It’s weird. Damon seems not to really care but Alex… She keeps giving me these intense looks. It frankly scares me a bit. Caroline just continued to talk. But Alex never looked at them, unless it was Damon. But other than that she just continued to stare.

“I cannot believe that Mr. Tanner let you on the team, Tyler must be seething.” Caroline said twirling her hair. And it was true, Tyler was pretty mad about Stefan being let on the team. “But good for you, go for it.”

“That's what I always tell him,” Damon said. “you have to engage you can’t just sit there and wait for life to come to you. You have to go get it.” Something about him was off. Way off. And not just him- Alex as well... Se freaked me out.

“Yeah Elena wasn’t so lucky today,” And here we go again. “it's only because you missed summer camp, I don’t know how you’re ever gonna learnt he routines-“ “I'll work with her, she’ll get it.” I told her cutting her off. I was starting to get really annoyed by Caroline. “I guess I could put her back in.” Caroline replied like it was a chore.

“Hey you don’t seem like the cheerleader type Elena.” Damon said getting her attention. Then Caroline spoke. “Oh it's just 'cause her parents died.” I frowned. “I mean she's totally just going through a blah faze, she used to be way more fun, and I say that with complete sensitivity.”

“I'm sorry Elena,” Alex spoke in her cool English accent. It held complete sympathy. “I know what it's like to lose both your parents, in fact Stefan, Damon and I have watched almost every single person we've ever cared about die.”

“Alex,” Stefan said rather harshly. “we really don’t want to get into this right now.” Alex looked at Stefan. “You’re right I’m sorry.”

“Yeah the last thing we want to do it bring her up.” Elena, Caroline, and I just stared in confusion. Who was “her”?

Elena’s Point of View-
“One more.” I heard the voice of Damon Salvatore call out. I went to grab it but it slipped through my fingers. But Damon caught it before it hit the ground. I laughed slightly. “Nice safe.” I told him. Damon and Alex then got identical grins.

“We like you-“Damon started. “You know how to laugh-“ “You make Stefan smile-“ “Which is something we haven't seen for a very long time.” Alex finished. I raised an eyebrow.

“Do you always do that?” I asked them. “Do what?” They asked me in unison. “That.” I pointed out. “Talk in sync with each other, finish each other’s sentences.” Alex and Damon looked at each other with a grin. “Well we’ve known each other for a very long time. It comes naturally.” I couldn’t help but noticed there was a hidden message in what she said.

I then turned away from Alex and faced Damon. “Earlier did you mean Katharine?” I was curious. “Yep.” Damon had adopted a new tone. “How’d she die?” I asked with a tone of sympathy. I knew what it was like to lose someone. “Fire, a very bad fire.” I winced but continued to question. “Recently?”

“Seems like it was only yesterday.” Alex answered. Her tone was different as well. “What was she like?” I was determined to find out. “She was beautiful.” Damon said with a sigh. “Very complicated and selfish and at times not very kind. But very sexy and seductive.”

“So which one of you dated her first?” I deadpanned. “Nicely deduced.” Alex said with a small smile. Then Damon spoke. “Ask Stefan, I'm sure his answer differs from mine.” It was silence for a second then out of nowhere Alex spoke. “I’d quit cheerleading if I were you.” I looked a bit surprised. “Why do you say that?” “We saw you at practice-“ “You looked like you were miserable.”

“You saw that?” My voice went a bit higher. “Yep.” They told me in unison. I sighed. “I used to love it, it was fun, but things are different this year, everything that used to matter, doesn't anymore.” “Then don’t-“ “Let it bother you.” They told me. “Quit, move on.” Alex said. “Ta Da.” “Problem solved.” I shook my head. “Some things could matter again.”

“Maybe but,” Damon spoke. “seems a little unrealistic to me.” Alex nodded to agree. “I'm sorry, about Katharine, I can see she must have been a friend to you Alex, you both lost her to.” They both clearly did not expect me to say that. Then Bonnie’s voice filled the kitchen. “Hey, do you need any help?” She stopped short as she saw Alex. “That’s odd” I thought. She looked a bit nervous. As Damon and Alex slipped out, Alex’s eyes never left Bonnie’s.

Alex’s Point of View-
As we walked out Bonnie had walked in. She indeed wasn’t human. I knew it. She clearly wasn’t a vampire and she’s way to non-angst to be a werewolf. I could think of about a couple more things bit my mind lingered on one. Witch. I think it might be time to see a descendent of mine.

Stefan’s Point of View-
Damon and Alex waltzed back into the living room and sat down. “We need to talk.”

“Really Stefan” Alex asked as if she was being put out.“ Right now?”

“Yes.” I told them. This couldn’t wait. Damon turned to Caroline. “Caroline, why don’t you help Bonnie and Elena with the dishes.” Caroline started to protest but Damon just compelled her to help. He turned his attention back to me while Caroline left the room. “They are people Damon, Alex.” I told them. “She's not a puppet; she doesn't exist for your amusement for you to feed on whenever you want to.”

“Sure she does.” Alex said in a cheery voice. “They’re whatever you want them to be.”

“There ours for the taking.” I sighed again. They really had no respect. “Alright you've had your fun, you used Caroline, you got to me and Elena.” I told them. “Good for you two, now it's time for you both to go.” But this made them smirk. “That's not a problem, because we've been invited in-“ “And we will come back tomorrow night, and we’ll do whatever we want to your little cheerleader,” “Because that’s normal for us.” Damon finished.

Alex’s Point of View-
After we left the house I drove straight home but Damon had to drop off Caroline. When I got into the house I immediately went up to mine and Damon’s bedroom at vamp speed. I decided to skip a shower tonight and just get ready for bed. When I got into bed I just curled up and fell asleep.

The next morning came by quickly. Too quickly. “Morning D.” I yawned as I started to wake up. He was putting on a shirt. Much to my disappointment. “Morning Alex.” He replied while he was still buttoning up his shirt. “So what are we doing today?” I asked him as I got out of bed to stretch. “We have a pep rally to attend.” “Awesome.” I said with sarcasm as I got out of bed and headed towards my dresser. I pulled out a plain black t-shirt and black shorts. “Well at least we get to mess with Stefan.” That was a plus.

So a few hours later I find myself at a high school football game. We hung back in the shadows then we spotted Elena. This should be fun. We shared a smirk and ran up behind her waiting to turn around. “Oh, y-you scared me, w-what are you doing here?”

“We’re hiding from Caroline.” He whispered to her like it was a secret. “And why is that?” Elena asked, she did not look impressed. I sighed a bit a dramatic. “We need a break-“ “She talks more than we can listen.” “But she is awfully young.” I said looking at Damon.

“Not much younger then you guys are.” I couldn’t help but laugh. Oh if she only knew. We ignored her comment about the age thing. “I don’t see it going anywhere in the big picture, I think would drive me crazy.” “Amen to that.” I laughed. But then I cleared my throat after receiving a glare from Elena. Man I really don’t like her. Elena frowned. “Caroline may have some really annoying traits but we’ve been friends since 1st grade. And that means something to me.” Damon nodded. “Duly noted, I’m sorry if we make you uncomfortable.”

“That wasn’t are intention.” I added. “Yes it is,” She deadpanned. “otherwise you wouldn’t put an alternate meaning behind everything you guys say.” We smirked. So she was a bit smart. “You’re right.”

“Really?” She asked. Not completely convinced. “You want to mess with Stefan, oh yes, you want to play with his head and make him want you.” Damon said starting to compel her. “But now you’re going to break up with him.” She just stared blankly.

We figured it had worked, until she raised her hand and slapped Damon. I began to twitch. “Strike one and two, bitch” I thought.

“What the hell?” She screeched. “I don’t know what kind of game you two are playing with Stefan but I don’t want to be part of it., and I don’t know what happened in the past but let’s get one thing straight. I am not Katherine.”

Yep that had done it. She was dead, I growled slightly. And was just about to do it when D gave me the, “Don’t even think about it look”. I sighed. But at least I had rattled her cage. She was scared slightly. Fear crept into her eyes. “Good, she knows to be afraid.”

I turned around to Damon. “Are you ok D?” I asked him and put my hand up to his cheek. “Yeah I’ll be fine.”

We went in search for Stefan next. We waited in the shadows until Stefan finished talking to his new friend.

We start clapping the moment he went inside. “Isn’t that nice,” Stefan’s made a friend,” It’s all so Ra, Ra go team, yeah!” Damon yelled with fake enthusiasm. Stefan just shook his head. “Not tonight guys, I’m done.” That set Damon and I off like wild fire. We now stood in front of him. “Nice trick with Elena.” I commented. “Vervain in the necklace?” Damon questioned. “I admit I was a bit surprised. It’s been a while since anyone could resist my compulsion.”

“Where’d you get it?” I asked. But I think I knew the answer already. “Does it matter?” Stefan asked. Damon did a dramatic sigh. “I guess I could just seduce her the old fashion way,” “Or I could just eat her.” I said with a smirk. That was a very tempting plan.

“No, Damon, Alex you’re not going to hurt her.” We rolled are eyes. “No?” We asked in unison. “Because deep down inside there’s a part of you that feel’s for her.” I was getting a bit annoyed with this speech. “I was worried that you had no humanity left in either of you. That you actually became the monsters you pretend to be.”

“Who’s pretending?” I asked a bit carelessly. “Then kill me.”

”Well we’re tempted-“ Damon started but was cut off by Stefan. “No, you’re not. You’ve both had lifetimes to do it, and yet there you guys stand, you’re still haunting me. After 145 years. Katherine is dead, because you both loved her, in different ways. Alex you knew her the longest. And you torture me because you still do. And that my brother, my sister is your humanity.” He really had no idea. I trembled with anger slightly. How dare he.

Then we heard a voice. A voice of a teacher. “Salvatore!” That annoying coach. I honestly couldn’t remember his name. Not that I cared. “What the hell?! We’ve got a game to play.” We both turned to each other and smirked.

“If that’s our humanity,” “Then what’s this?” In a flash were over by the teacher. We both ignored Stefan’s cries. I snapped his neck his neck while Damon started to drink. I ripped the other side of his neck as well. We both drank him dry. We let go of the teacher’s lifeless body and it fell to the ground like a doll.

“Anyone,” Damon started with menace in his voice. “Anytime,” “Anyplace.” We both ended. And just like that we were gone.
