Vegas

Bad Boys like her.

"What are you doing here?" Her friend had asked Jack who utlimately grinned at her and almost but threw away Hoodie and hugged her instead. The friend laughed and wrapped her arms around Jack.
"What are you doing here?" I asked before I could stop myself.
"Probably the same thing you are" Hoodie replied.
"I see" I said.

Flyzik had found us in the nick of time and didn't look happy at all. I could see it the way he spoke to us, he never shouted at us, he was family but when family fucks up, they deserve it.

Hoodie had taken a hold of her friend and was ready to leave but I found myself asking her for a walk instead.
"I think we need to talk" I had said.
"Oh, okay" She had said and with that I watched her give her friend a hug before waiting for me to join her.
We had found a small diner around the corner and thought it'd be better to sit and talk then minorly get lost.

"I'm really sorry that you're in the situation" She had said and I stared at her, confused.
"it's not exactly your fault to be honest. Takes two to fuck up" I nodded.
"I thought you were going to say something else" She mummbled to herself and I shook my head at her immaturity.
"Look, before all this blows over I think we should lay low" I said.
"That's perfectly fine with me boy but we need to get this sorted out soon because reporters will find out about this stuff pretty quick"
"I don't think we will have time to fix this mess before the reporters find out but we'll have to act like this was planned" I said.
"Now why would we do that?" She stared dubiously at me, now playing with a small satchet of sugar.
"Because, i know it's normal for band members to fuck up in vegas but it's really cliche and news like this sticks around with a person for a very long time. Tabloids eat people like them for breakfast" I sighed and combed my fingers through my hair, a habit i had picked up when i was frustrated.
"I understand that but could you try to keep the swearing down? There are children here" She said looking down at her satchet. I looked around and noticed a look I was getting from a mother with two little kids playing with their syrup soaked pancakes. I put my hand up as a wave and with a 'hmph' she turned away.
"Sorry about that, I'm a little tired" I said.
"That's fine." She looked out the window and soon an awkward silence was starting to swarm closer and closer. Suffocatingly close.
"I understand the concept of having to fake that we were in a secret relationship and wanted to get married and such but what if the 'very' cliche thing happens and the people who we are 'actually' dating come around?" She looked at me dead straight and for a minute thought her eyes flickered green, it shocked me considering her eyes were brown... right?

She looked away before I could question her about that.

"Well I'm not currently with anyone so it should be fine from my end." I shrugged.
"Nor am I so I guess thats out of the way..." She nodded, almost ticking a box in her head. "What if we get questioned about the other person? Like, if reporters start asking what the other likes and such"
"Why would they do that?" I was confused.
"You know, so we can prove whether we really were 'together'" She said, making quotation marks in the air.
"Well, I guess we'll have to fix the problem and in the mean time learn the basics" I shrugged.
"I suppose, I know almost everything about you but you probably know nothing about me" She placed the satchet back and picked up a new one.
"Wait, how do you know 'things' about me?" I leaned forward, intrigued.
"You're Zack Steven Merrick, Bassist of All Time Low, your birthday is the 21st of April and you are colour blind to the colours red and blue..." She started and I was almost frozen.
"Ok ok I get it" I said.
".. And you have an addiction to ketchup. God bless Google.." She smirked and it only amused me how she actually remembered everything about me.
"Ok, I get that point" I chuckled and combed my fingers through my hair. "So tell me about yourself..."
"I'm Hoodie" She grinned.
"Come on, you're the one who just said that we need to do this.." I said, enjoying this game.
"I regret it already" She mummbled to herself.
"Regret nothing Hoodie, come on!" I said feeling interested. Her eyes widened for a moment and then she looked like she was stiffling a laugh.
"Maybe another time, as for now, i don't think it's good for you to be seen out with me" She said pulling her hood up to cover herself. I turned to look and found a few fans taking pictures of us and I understood the concept of reporters catching us in no time a little too clearly.
"We need this talk, it's fine, we won't talk about you right now but we will later." I leaned back in my seat.
"Look, all you need to know is, it's best for you to get this problem fixed as soon as possible and get away from me" She sounded almost viscious and it intrigued me.
"Why say such a thing?" I tilted my head to the side, questioning her.
"Merrick look, I'm that bad girl that everyone warns you about and your that good boy that finishes last" Hoodie said.
"I don't believe that" I found myself saying a little angrily.
"Please..." She scoffed turning away. I watched as her frustration bubbled to the surface and she begun to bite at her lower lip. I couldn't help but stare at how the blood rushed to her bottom lip in retaliation.
"I can be bad" I said before I could stop myself. She turned to face me with a slightly shocked expression. I wanted to take back my words the minute I saw a smirk kiss her lips. She was thinking something, I knew she was. Why did her smirk entice me so much?
"Really? what did you do pretty boy? Drink from the big boy carton or was it that you left the toilet seat up?" He cockiness annoyed me.
"No, but i've been imagining myself biting that lower lip of yours for you" I ground out and found myself blushing at my own words, such a man i am.
She had frozen and for a moment I enjoyed her shock, she was weakened. It was fun wipping that cocky smirk off her face sometimes.
"Not to mention that half the time your looking away I'm staring down your top" I said as I begun to slide my eyes down her eyes, to her cheeks and her jaw, down that slender narrow neck and to her obvious collar bone and finally staring at the very revealing top. Cleavage was all I saw.
"Stop.." She almost choked out and I watched as red begun to shoot across her cheeks and her eyes begun to almost darken.
"What's the matter now?" I folded my arms and almost faltered when i saw her gulp.
"Just... Don't ever talk to me like that again!" She fumed and combed her fingers through her hair, a tint of red catching my eye.
"I thought you were that bad girl that could handle it" I chuckled.
"This isn't a game Zackery!" she said standing up and I found myself wide eyed.
'Zackery?' I thought to myself.
"what are you, my mother?"
"Listen to me. No." She said. "You're a good boy, why do you insist of ruining your reputation?" She almost sounded sad.
"Why do you insist on acting all high and mighty?" i stood up too and I knew she didn't enjoy being shorter but all i could think of when i saw her was how small she was and wondering how it'd feel to fit her in my arms.
"This conversation is over Merrick" She turned to walk away and I found myself reaching over and grabbing her wrist. It was so small that i could feel my own fingers overlapping.
"Listen, i get it, you'r not telling me everything but you need to understand that this will all blow over and you'll be able to go on with your life so would you just trust me a little and hang in there?" I waited and when i finally saw her nod i felt a flush of relief run over me like a hot shower. Without being able to control myself i sound found that holding her in my arms was alot more comfortable then I thought. She was small but somehow fit perfectly to me. She soon wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled her closer for a fraction of a minute before jerkily trying to get away. I obliged and let her have her space.
"Shall we go? Before Flyzik thinks i've kidnapped you?" She said with a light smile.
"I'm not exactly a child hoodie" I smiled and she finally cracked a proper smile.
"I'm older than you Merrick" I stared in confusion.
"How old are you?" I stared at her smile.
"I'm 23?" She rolled her eyes and begun walking. I walked beside her and laughed.
"When did you turn 23?" I asked.
"Last July"
"So i'm older then because i'm turning 24 in april" I couldn't help but burst out into laughter at the shocked expression on her face. 'I thought you knew everything about me' My mind rung.
"You're still a kid to me" She shrugged and started walking faster. I easily caught up with her and she huffed at me.
"Now thats not fair, you're the tiny one!" I chuckled.
"I'm pretty damn strong for someone this tiny. I did carry your drugged ass up a flight of stairs and then manage to put you in bed" She shrugged and i couldn't help but acknowledge her for that.
"Thank your for taking care of me" I said honestly.
"I would say anytime but the next time you've been drugged I'm going after the idiots who did it" she said and it only made me smile. She looked up at me and only rolled her eyes at my smile.
"Fine, puppy-napped. ok?" She said.
"Puppy-napped?"
"Yes, you're not a kid but you kind of remind me of a loyal little puppy"
"Are you trying to call me your bitch?" I said astounded.
"I wasn't actually but now that you mention it.." She laughed at my expression.
"I was kidding Merrick" She pat my arm and i huffed. Had the roles reversed?
