Please Don't Take me Home

Chapter 14

"A-A-A-And then he br-br-br-brought me breakfest and it wa-wa-was really sweet!"
"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" Matty squealed. "He really likes you!"
"I guess so b-b-but he's dating, Jamie an-an-and Jame kinda scares m-me." I said.
Matty smiled, "But you like him."
"Kellin!" A doctor said walking in. "We're gonna put a bandage on your nose right now." He walked over to he bed with a big white bandage.
He leaned over the bed and pushed it down on my nose.
"Okay! That's all I needed to, have a good day Kellin."
The doctor left the room and closed the door halfway.
"Do they even fucking knock or?" Matty said annoyed.
"I guess n-n-n-not!" I laughed.
"Okay, back to Vic!" Matty said. We talked a bit more before I felt kinda tired.
I yawned and rubbed my eyes.
"You can take a nap if you want to, man."
I nodded and laid back down in the bed and fell asleep.
--------
Matty shook me a bit.
"Wh-wh-wh-what?" I asked sitting up in the bed.
"Vic'll be here in a few minutes." Matty smiled, he had the giant bear on the floor next to his chair.
"C-C-C-Cool."
"Wait, can you sing again?" Matty leaned over "Please?"
"Wh-wh-why?"I aksed
"Because you're a good singer!" Matty stuck his bottom lip out "Please Kellin?"
"F-F-Fine." I mumbled. I decided I'd sing the one I sang in my room for him, cause it was short.

I lost my heart, my home is the ocean.
The waves underneath will soon be my home.
I will fall asleep.
I'll close my eyes and dream of days when I wasn't all alone.

All that I know is gone
Take what is left of me now
All that I know is gone
Take what is left of me
Fall deeper and deeper, the sirens are singing your songs.
I'll miss my breath, there's no more left.
I'll miss the sound of the wind at my back.
The depths have a number, they call you by name.
Fall asleep, Davy Jones calls you.
So fall asleep, fall asleep and dream.
All that I know is gone
Take what is left of me now
All that I know is gone
Take what is left of me
Fall deeper and deeper, the sirens are singing your songs.

"That was awesome Kellin!" Matty hit my shoulder. "Better then the first time."
"Th-th-th-thanks." I smiled at the compliment, even though I'm definitely not very good.
"Hi Vic!" Matty waved at Vic as he walked into the room with a bag.
"H-H-Hi, did you get you st-st-stuff?"
THAT WAS SO STUPID WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK IS IN THE BAG?
"Yeah," He put his bag down and walked over to the bed. "Oh and my mom Kellin, my mom said to tell you that she hopes you get better."
His mom sounded nice.
"T-t-t-tell her thanks."
"So, While you were gone, Kellin got his nose bandaged up and he sang again! WHICH IS GREAT." Matty said loudly.
I hit him in the shoulder,"I'm not a very g-g-good singer, so I don't see w-w-why its a b-b-big deal."
"Well you don't stutter when you sing, and Vic hasn't heard you sing yet!" Matty stared at me when he said 'Vic'.
"I haven't." Vic sat down on the end of the bed.
"M-M-Maybe l-l-l-later." I sighed.
--------
Matty stayed till visiting hours ended before he left.
Vic was sitting next to me, like he was last night.
And he was holding my hand.
I drifted off into sleep with his hand still in mine.
I heard someone signing. I opened my eyes and saw it was Vic.

Were you honest when you said,
"I could never leave your bed",
Wake me up and let me know you're alive
And will you fall in love again?
Is the scent slowly spreading?
I've been answering machines all night...

"Ke-Ke-Ke-Ke-Keep singing," I said quietly "You have a nice v-v-v-voice." He smiled at me continued singing.

And are the doctors dancing in
While the ambulances sing?
Another boy without a sharper knife...
The moment that's where I
Kill the conversation, wrap this up
With a knife that loves to feel
How do you know how deep to go before it's real?

"You wr-wr-wrote t-that?" I moved a bit in the bed.
"Yeah, its not very good." Vic said
"I l-l-l-like it a lot," I yawned "It's a lot better then what I write and sing."
"Can I hear some of it?"
"N-No." I closed my eyes showing him that I wasn't going to sing.
I fell asleep fairly quickly after that.
---------
The next few days went by fast.
Vic brought my breakfast everyday and the doctors always brought in lunch and dinner.
We never talked very much, it was mostly because I was to nervous to talk to him.
When the day came to leave, Vic brought my clothes that I had worn here.
"I have the clothes you had on when you got here," he held up the shirt, "But it's a little bloody."
A 'little' bloody?
I looked down at my sweatshirt and jeans.
The jeans looked fine but the sweatshirt was covered in blood.
I sighed. I didn't have a shirt of a sweatshirt to wear home.
"I have an extra shirt if you want that and you can wear my sweatshirt." Vic took his sweatshirt off and threw at me along with his extra shirt.
"Th-Th-Th-Thanks." I stuttered.
"I'll be outside, so tell me when you're ready." Vic said. He left the room, shutting the door behind him.
I hopped out of the bed and tried to balance myself with the boot on.
I took off the hospital gown and put my jeans on.
I went over to put the shirt on and stopped.
I looked down at my chest, it was covered in cuts, burns, bruises, just like my arms and legs.
I sighed and put the shirt on along with the sweatshirt. The shirt was too big on me, it came down to about mid-thigh and the sweatshirt sleeves were too long on me. I ignored this and turned to see Vic's bag still in the room, and my toms sticking out of it.
I took the right shoe out of the bag and put it on. I took the bloody sweatshirt and shirt into my hands and waddled to the door and stuck my head out into the hallway to see Vic sitting on the floor.
"V-V-Vic?" He looked up at me "Where should I p-p-put the other cl-cl-clothes?" I held up the clothes.
"Uh," he stood up and walked towards me "You can put it in my bag." I went back into the room and Vic followed.
I put the clothes away and faced him.
"R-R-R-Ready!"I said.
he grabbed the bag and walked out of the room first. I walked behind him. It was more of a limping waddle, but Vic didn't notice.
We walked out to the top of the steps.
The sun was bright and shining right into my eyes.
"A-Are you driving o-o-or is someone picking us up?" I asked.
"Yeah, Mike and Tony." Vic walked down the satires.
I felt my stomach drop.
"M-M-M-Mike and T-Tony? W-W-Why are they picking us up?" My voice stared to shake.
"Mike's my brother and Tony barely ever leaves my house." Vic shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.
"B-B-But Vic---" I was cut off my someone honking at us.
"Hurry the fuck up, Vic!" Tony yelled.
"I'm n-n-not getting in the c-c-c-car, V-V-V-Vic." I stuttered.
He cocked his head to the side. "Why?"
"Be-be-be-because they almost killed me!" I started to shake.
"Kellin, it'll be fine I'll be in the car with you," Vic smiled "I promise you'll be fine."
I bit my lip.
"If they say anything or do anything, I'll stop it, I promise."
"O-O-O-Okay."
I walked down the steps and followed Vic to the car. he opened the door and let me get in. I slid all the way down so Vic could sit next to me.
He got in and sat down.
"Ugh, where do you need to go faggot." Mike said pulling out of the parking lot.
Vic didn't say anything.
"Ai-ai-ai-aidez M-M-Moi r-r-road."
Tony laughed. "You live in the shit part of town?"
I nodded.
Why wasn't Vic saying anything? He said
I looked over at Vic and he looked back at me and smiled.
I didn't smile back, I just looked out the window and waited for the ride to be over.
