A Hospital for Souls

For the past twenty-one years of her existence, Abigail has had the displeasure of experiencing how much words can actually hurt, and the loss of people she has loved. By the age of nineteen, she was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. The mass amount of ridicule was what triggered the anxiety; the loss of both her best friend and both her parents shortly after graduating was what triggered the depression. She was a danger to herself, and her widowed aunt found this situation as a helpful one to the both of them (seeing as they both couldn’t be alone at this time) and took Abigail in. After Abigail’s first suicide attempt, Aunt Alice sends her to a therapist, who then sends her to a mental hospital.
Inside the mental hospital, Abigail finds herself slowly but surely growing better…until life happens and she realizes that she was right.
