My name is Blossom Arreton. It hasn't always been that; when my rich merchant Father stuck his wallet on the huge Arreton Manor on the Isle of Wight, we changed our name to fit our estate.

My father only became rich through trading wool to the colonies in the West Indies and North America that had recently been settled. This was before I was born though.

I've never been a fan of this lavish lifestyle. It's wonderful, of course, and I wouldn't want to be homeless or destitute, but the strict rules that come along with belonging to an upper class family have always made me feel trapped, even as a young girl.

That's why I must escape. Before I'm made a wife and my dreams of becoming one of the first actresses in England are dashed.
