Through Passion and Lust ~1~
I got this off of a writing contest on SW (storywrite) and I liked the prompt enough to write about it and post it here.
Prompt: Victorian Era. A prominent social figure (duke, viscount, etc.) creates a half-way house for 'fallen women' that would essentially allow them to create a better life for themselves in a society in which purity is valued beyond all other womanly attributes or characteristics (piano playing, speaking Latin, etc.). A woman (you create her name) comes to the half-way house and an indecent development occurs: she and the owner develop deep affections for one another. Their affections should they be made public threaten to sully his reputation and position, and possibly have him shunned from all of London society.
