A Daydream Away

Alex woke with a start as he rolled out of bed onto the floor, he looked up hearing jack laughing down at him from the bed he'd just tumbled from. Alex tried his best to glare at the boy on his bed but seeing his goofy grin and bed head weakened him. He grabbed for jacks hand tugging quickly pulling him off the bed, squealing as he landed on him. Jacks smile got wider as he lay atop his older friend; he leaned in nudging their noses together,
"Morning Alex!" the characteristically cheerful jack sang happily.
Alex simply smiled unable to be annoyed by jack even if it was six o'clock on a Monday morning. Much too both boys dismay Jack rolled off Alex helping him up before running to the bathroom claiming first shower. Once both boys were clean and ready to go, that process made longer by the playful banter and goofing around between the friends, they got in Alex’s car and headed to school.

"Zack, Rian!” Alex called spotting his friends, he grabbed Jacks hand in his, ignoring the butterflies he got from the contact, and ran across the parking lot. The four friends headed into school sliding into their first class just before the bell rang.
Halfway through class Jack sighed dramatically, shifting in his chair and resting his feet in Alex’s lap, Alex smiled softly patting his leg.
“There is thirty minutes of class left I’m sure you’ll survive”
Jack huffed at his friend’s words and childishly crossed his arms, “easy for you to say! She doesn't hate you!” Jack turned his glare toward the teacher.
“Maybe if you I don’t know, did work once in a while she wouldn't hate you?”
“Don’t be a smart ass Gaskarth I’m with you too much to do work! Maybe if you weren't so obsessed with me I would have free time to do work.”
“I’d hate to flaw your logic Jay but I do all my work.”
“loo-“ “Enough out of you two!” The boys turned their attention to the front to see the teacher had stopped her lesson and was now facing them, “Barakat it’s bad enough you refuse to do your own work try not to bring my good students down with you.”
Jack frowned and went to turn around in his seat; before he could Alex tightened his grip on his legs and shot him an apologetic smile. Jack couldn't help but smile back at the beautiful boy before focusing his attention on the teachers’ words for the remainder of class.

The four friends filed out of class as the bell rang signaling second period, Jack sighed turning to Alex, he pulled the smaller boy into a tight hug lightly kissing his head reluctant to part ways if only for an hour and a half long class.
“I’ll miss you…” Alex mumbled into his chest just as reluctant to let go.
Zack groaned next to them, “seriously guys? You’re going to be apart less than two hours and you have to put on a movie scene?”
Alex glared before pulling away, “shut up he’s my best friend we like to be together.”
“Yeah because all best friends hug like that between every class, “his words were cut short when Rian grabbed him in a hug. “OH ZACKY DON’T LEAVE ME PLEASE I COULDN'T BEAR BEING WITHOUT YOU!!”
“OH RIAN, FOR OVER AN HOUR! HOW WILL I GO ON!?”
Alex couldn't help but crack a smile; “alright smart asses come on” he walked off in one direction with Zack as Rian and Jack went the other way.
