Crazy Summer Time

Caseys POV:
The next day i got up and my dad was already gone, i dont know why he gets up so damn early. Later on Micah left and went to go to his friends house so i was all alone. There was a knock on the door and i answered it, it was Nathan.

"Hey babe" i said letting him in

"Hey. Is your dad home?" he asked

"Nope, and my uncle Zack isnt here either so your safe" i said

"Well thats good. My mom wanted me to invite you and Micah and your parents to our dinner party tonight" he said

"Really?" i asked

"Yep" he said

"This wouldnt be a formal type of party, would it be?" i asked, his parents always throw fancy types of partys

"Actually...yeah" he said

"Thats gonna be interesting" i said

"Why?" he asked

"Because your parents are sophisticated and mine arnt" i said

"It'll be fine" he said

"Mhmm" i said

We hungout and went swimming, it was nice when Micah wasnt around to be annoying. At one point it started raining so we had to head back inside and just decided to play video games. Later on my dad and uncle Zack came home.

"Hey" my dad said

"Hi" i said

"Wheres your brother?" he asked

"At James house" i said and he nodded

"Hey Nathan" he said

"Hi Mr. Gaskarth" Nathan said

"So dad, Nathans parents want us to come to a dinner party tonight" i said

"Oh. Alright, what time?" my dad asked Nathan

"Uhmm. 6" Nathan said

"Alright, sounds good. Me and uncle Zack will be in the backyard if you need us" my dad said and i nodded and they left the room

A little while later Nathan left to help his parents prep for the party. I was pretty nervous about tonight, i wasnt sur what was gonna happen because mom can act mature but not so much my dad. Later when we got to the party Nathans mom greeted us.

"Hey guys!, im so glad you came!" she said

"Yeah. Thanks for inviting us" my mom said

"Of course, come with me" Nathans mom said and we followed

"Im so confused as to why i had to dress fancy. Why is this a damn fancy party anyways!?" my dad whispered to me

"I dont know. But dont be a dick" i said and he raised a eyebrow at me

"God, you are to much like me it scares me sometimes" he said and i rolled my eyes at him and we all walked over to two old people

"So you guys these are my parents. Mom, dad. This is Nathans girlfriend Casey and her brother Micah and her parents Alex and Sophie" Nathans mom said introducing us to her parents and we all said hi

"So this is the young lady thats dating little Nathan, shes very pretty" Nathans grandma said

"Thanks" i said

"Nathan and some of his friends are in the basement. Why dont you two go down and hangout with them all, the grownups can just hangout and talk" Nathans mom said

"Sure" i said and me and Micah went downstairs

We went downstiars and Micah was pretty impressed, i guess it because its his first time being here because i reacted the first time to. They have a furnished basement that has a pool table and video games and a big screen tv and what not. When Nathan saw us he got excited.

"Hey babe!" Nathan said

"Hi" i said

"Hey Micah. Good to see you" he said

"Good to see you as well. Nice basement" Micah said

"Thanks. You guys this is my girlfriend Casey and her brother Micah. Casey, Micah these are my friends Tyler, Brian and you guys know Matt, Dave and Kyle" Nathan said introducing us to eachother

"Hey" we said

"Hey" they said

"So how are your parents fitting in with everyone?" he asked coming over and putting his arm around my waist

"Good. My dad feels awkward but whatever" i said

"Why does your dad feel awkward?" Dave asked me

"I dont know. Probably because hes a rockstar, not used to super fancy stuff" i said

"Thats awesome!. I wish my dad was a rockstar" he said

"Yeah. It gets old, trust me" i said

"Yeah. Well anyways we were thinking of playing pool. You guys wanna play?" Nathan asked us

"Sure" we said

We played pool and it was really fun, i was pretty sure Micah was cheating though. Nathan was all over me all night, which was pretty weird considering my brother was there but he didnt notice. After a long time we were all called to come upstairs everyone was in the living room and my dad had his head on my moms shoulder.

"I know you guys were probably having fun but we thought you guys would like to look at funny pictures" Nathans mom said

"Sure" Nathan said and i went and sat next to my dad

"Having fun?" i said whispering in his ear

"Nope" he said

"Tired Alex?" one of Nathans moms friends asked my dad

"Kinda, didnt get much sleep last night" my dad said lying

"Sleeps important. Does the body good" the guy said

"Thats what ive told him" my mom said and my dad rolled his eyes and turned towards me and mouthed kill me

We hungout and looked at pictures, it was funny to see what Nathan looked like when he was little. After a while we had dinner which was filled with boring conversations. Later after we were home my dad laid on the floor dramatic.

"Im so glad were home!. Casey i love you but your boyfriends parents and their friends are so boring!" he said

"It wasnt so bad" my mom said

"Yes it was. So damn boring!" he said

"Well at least they were all nice" she said

"But that doesnt excuse the boring conversation" he said

"I didnt think it was that terrible" i said

"Yes it was!" he said and i rolled my eyes at him
