I Told You to Just Leave Me Alone

Chapter 8

Naomi sat there crying to herself for a bit, gasping in air in pain. The key mocked her as she held her leg in pain and looked up to the ceiling to try to stop crying. The door opened suddenly in a rush and the cousins appeared.

"Shit." Matt said as he came towards her.

"God, damn it." Kevin exclaimed, going to her other side.

Matt took off her handcuffs for her and Naomi clutched to Kevin's shirt in pain.

"Okay, Naomi, I'm going to need you to look away and brace yourself. Okay? Hold onto the bed posts with your hands and keep your legs relaxed." Matt said to her, looking into her eyes.

"Kevin, go get some towels and the maid. She should know what to do. Quickly." Matt added.

Kevin left in a flash and Naomi did what she was told, going back to staring at the ceiling.

"Alright, Naomi, this is going to hurt like hell. You know it is. Just hold your breath until I pull it out on three. Are you ready?" Matt said then.

Naomi closed her eyes tightly and rolled in her lips as she nodded.

"One...two..." He started.

"Three!" He exclaimed as he pulled the blade out in a quick movement.

The maid and Kevin appeared in the room right after they heard the scream. Naomi screamed her lungs out of air when the pain hit her and she could feel the blood leaving her body from the wound. So much blood. She couldn't take much more. She felt towels wrap around her leg, but her vision started to fade nonetheless. She couldn't help, but think that things would've been much better if Seth had just killed her.

* The Next Day *

Naomi awoke sometime in the afternoon with no handcuffs. There was food and water bedside her. Her leg looked ghastly with what looked like twenty stitches. Feeling weak, Naomi took a drink of the water and set the tray on her legs gently. She began to eat slowly, but wondered why they were giving her food. But as she thought to herself she remembered that it had been a while since she had even eaten anything.

Once she was done, she set the tray carefully on the floor next to her bed. Then she moved onto her side and looked at the wall in front of her pensively. I wonder what they're going to do to me now? Why can't they just kill me and be done with it already? It's not as if I have anything else to live for...

She heard the door quietly open then, but she stayed how she was. Her eyes were wide, fearing it was Seth. When she heard someone come close to her, her heart thumped wildly in her chest. But then she heard footsteps retreating and a confused expression came on her face. She turned around in time to see a retreating Sam.

"Hey!" She exclaimed.

He didn't look back, however, and Naomi narrowed her eyes in frustration as she sat up as fast as she could. She got on her feet then without thinking and limped to the door he was leaving out of. He closed the door on her before she even got five feet to it. Naomi concentrated hard on making it to the door, however. Once she got to it, she swung it open with a glare, ready to give Sam an earful.

But standing in front of her was a more frightful image, Seth.

"And just where do you think you're going?" Seth said roughly as he shoved her to the floor.

Naomi let out a noise of protest as he did so. Seth picked her up off the floor then quickly and Naomi started to struggle in his arms. He still held onto her though before dropping her onto the bed. Naomi glared up at Seth in hatred.

"I'm sorry, Princess. Did you think this was a roam free area for prisoners?" Seth replied with a glare of his own.

Naomi let out a sigh of frustration and stared at the wall in front of her in anger. Seth came closer to her then, leaning over her.

"Besides, I thought my message was loud and clear about staying away from him." Seth whispered tauntingly as he got closer to her face with his own.

Naomi scowled in disgust and swat his hand away when it tried to touch her hair.

Seth chuckled deeply then and lowered his head.

"You've got some fight in you, Naomi." He said to himself.

Naomi gave him a untrusting look and didn't like the position she was in. Suddenly, he looked up with a glare and grabbed just under her chin.

"But maybe that's a bad thing." Seth said darkly, examining her neck.

Naomi almost whimpered and struggled against his hold. But he moved in a flash so that his knees were pinning down her legs and his hand held her wrists together above her head. Naomi's eyes went wide with terror.

"Let's get rid of that, shall we?" He said against her neck with his fangs in a whisper.

Naomi's eyes went wider if possible and before she knew it he had bit down. Naomi gasped in shock and could feel the blood in her body moving to Seth's mouth. She could feel him sucking the life out of her, draining her. After a moment, Seth released her hands and Naomi laid there in shock. How did she get herself in this mess? Is this really happening to her?

After a few more minutes, Seth stopped and wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his wrist. Naomi slowly moved her hand to touch her neck and she felt her blood on her fingertips.

"Now, you'll see how horrible we really can be." Seth whispered above her.

Naomi's eyes fluttered as she struggled to keep them open.

"Don't fight it." He added then.

Naomi found she couldn't go against his words and her eyes closed on command.

* The Next Day *

Naomi awoke to someone stroking her hair. Her eyes fluttered open immediately.

"Good morning, sweetheart." She heard a familiar voice say next to her.

Her heart should've raced with fear in her chest, but somehow she was calm. She turned slowly to look at him to see him smirking at her.

"What did you do?" She asked simply.

"Why don't you take a look at your leg." Seth replied with a devilish smile.

Naomi slowly turned her head as if on command and she saw that her leg was completely healed. How? Inside Naomi was in shock, but on the outside she remained a calm composure.

"How do you feel?" Seth asked her then with a smug smile.

It was as if a barrier was lifted and, all of a sudden, she could sense everything at once. Her eyes become instantly sharper, she could hear the crickets outside the house, she could smell Seth's natural scent, the bed underneath her felt softer, and she had a new awareness of everything that was around her. She blinked in shock and looked at her hands in wonder.

"Why did you do this?" She asked in horror with wide eyes.

"Climb on top of me." Seth said suddenly with a commanding voice.

A look of confusion and disgust came on Naomi's face for a moment. She was about to reply in protest, but found herself on top of Seth in a second. She blinked again in confusion as she stared down at his smug face. Her heart started to race inside her chest then and she realized fully what he had done.

"W- why?" Naomi asked, her voice breaking.

"Because, Naomi. You have a strong tendency to get yourself in trouble and not listen to what you're told. Now, you have no choice but to." Seth replied with a straight face.

She found herself suddenly leaning toward him and her eyes went frantic. What was she doing? What was he doing to her? Stop! For the love of God, stop, Naomi! But despite her protests, it was too late.

Naomi closed in on him as he gave her a knowing look. Her wide eyes of fear betrayed her, so she closed them before kissing him softly on the lips. Please, stop. Naomi pleaded in her head.

"Well, I think that's enough for today." Seth said suddenly, getting up from the bed.

Naomi got off of him and sat with a blank look on the bed.

"I'll see you in an hour for dinner." He added as he left.

She could hear the smile in his voice as he closed the door. As soon as he did, Naomi burst into tears. How could this happen?

* An Hour Later *

"Hey, Naomi, time to come out for dinner..." She heard Matt's voice say behind the door as he knocked on it.

Naomi got up silently with absolute grace and walked to the door the same way. When she opened it quietly, Matt gave her a shocked look. After checking her new self out, Matt coughed and let her pass by. Naomi passed by silently without a word and a blank look on her face. She felt as if she didn't have to feel anything anymore. She could already sense everything around her, so why did she need to feel anything else?

Going into the dining room, she was just as silent as before. The whole family was there and everyone, but Sam looked at her. The father and Seth looked at her in amusement, while the cousins were quiet in shock.

"Naomi, what happened?" Kevin asked finally when sat down.

"Isn't obvious?" The father replied with a smirk.

Everyone was silent.

"She's finally become one of us." The father exclaimed then with a smile.

Matt frowned in silence and Kevin had a confused look on his face, unsure of what to think.

"Oh, well, congratulations." The confused cousin said as he stared at his placemat.

"Congratulations, indeed." The father added as the servers brought the food to the table.

Naomi stayed silent and noticed Sam hadn't said anything the whole time either. Or made any reaction at all to her dramatic change. She ate slowly and carefully as she adjusted to her new senses and eating.

"So Naomi and I were thinking about planning a wedding." Seth said suddenly to the father.

There was a clang as everyone at the table put down their utensils and stopped eating. Seth looked at her then with a smile, but Naomi couldn't say anything in reply. Her eyes were wide with fear, however.

"Have you proposed?" The father asked with a small smile on his face.

Naomi's eyes went wider with shock and she froze at the table. Sam was staring at her now, watching her every move. The cousins simply stared at their plates and played with their food. Suddenly, Seth was at her side, kneeling with one knee on the floor. In his hands, was the most gorgeous ring Naomi had ever seen. Her heart raced inside her chest, as if trying to escape.

What was happening? Why now? Of all times, why now?

"Naomi, sweetheart, would you marry me?" Seth asked with a small smile on his face.

Naomi wanted to say like hell she would ever marry a monster like him. But she found she couldn't. Instead she found herself saying something entirely different. She swallowed hard and a tear slid down her face.

"Yes." She replied, her voice cracking as another tear rolled down her cheek.

The father clapped loudly then and exclaimed, "Bravo!"

Naomi held her hand out without thinking and Seth slipped the ring on her finger before going back to his own seat. It weighed her hand down slightly and Naomi couldn't help but stare at it. She could feel Sam glaring at her. He got up from the table loudly then and slammed his napkin down on the plate before exiting the room.

"Would you mind if I got some air?" Naomi spoke then to the father.
The father gave her permission with a smug smile on his face. Naomi got up silently then and exited the room quietly. She went out the back door and found Sam a ways in front of her.

"Sam." Naomi called out with barely any emotion.

"You know, you're really something." Sam replied to her, without turning around.

"Sam." Naomi repeated with slight annoyance.

"I'm serious, you really had me going there." Sam said with a sarcastic smile on his face as he turned around to half face her.

Naomi simply glared at him in return.

"I mean, here I thought, that I was the one you loved." He added into the darkness with his hands in his pockets.

Another tear slid down Naomi's face as words failed to come out of her mouth. She didn't doubt that Seth was listening to their conversation and keeping her from telling Sam her true feelings.

"Well, I guess I was wrong, wasn't I?" Sam finished, looking at her with that same expression still on his face.

"Sam..." Naomi pleaded with him with a desperate look in her eyes.

"No, I don't want to hear it. I hope you and the monster who murdered your parents have a wonderful life together, Naomi. I really do." Sam said as he left.

Naomi let the tears fall freely then and she slowly sat down on a barrier. The door to the backyard opened again then and Seth came to her. Naomi just looked at him in utter despair.

"Oh, I know, sweetheart. Now, come along, it's time to go inside." Seth said in reply with a small smile as he lead her back inside the house.

He picked her up before they got inside and Naomi stayed silent as she clung to him. As he carried her, she couldn't help but wish that Seth had just killed her.
