It’s the feeling you get when your team wins, the feeling you get when your team loses, when your team shakes the hands of the losing team knowing they are one step closer to winning the greatest trophy in all of sports, when you see the look on your captain’s face when he hoists that trophy, the first career goals, the goals in overtime, the goals by underrated players, the goals by your superstars, the goals that leave you breathless, the save that seems to stop time, the goal celebrations, the tributes to the former players, the standing ovations, the shootout and the shutouts, the sound of the skates when they hit the ice, the passion, perseverance and dedication of the players, their love for their fans, their childhood dreams being fulfilled every day, the hardships and losing streaks that turn into winning streaks, the comebacks, the jokesters, the rookies, the veterans, defeating adversity and defying ordinary.

Hockey is a way of life, it draws you in and doesn’t let go, through the pain and struggles, the joy and triumph. But most of all, hockey is in our hearts, hockey is love… hockey is life.
