Beauty and a Beast

The Uruk-Hai

A band of Uruk-hai marched across the plain, with two hobbits bound to the backs of two Uruk-hai. Pippin tried to call to Merry, who was unconscious with a gash on his right brow.

"Merry. Merry!"
Pippin called, but he recieved no response.

Suddenly, an Uruk-hai put up his hand and he signaled a stop. A Group of Mordor Orcs appeared behind some rocks.

"You’re late. Our master grows impatient. He wants the Shire-rats now."
Grishnákh snarled.

"I don’t take order from Orc-maggots. Saruman will have his prize. We will deliver them."
Uglúk snapped, as he turned away from Grishnákh, who immediately showed his dislike for the Uruk.
Merry was looking very sick, and he moaned.

"Merry! Merry! Wake up!"
Pippin called, softly, before turning to the Uruks.

"My friend is sick. He needs water. Please!"
Pippin pleaded.

"Sick, is he? Give him some medicine, boys! Hahaha!!"
Uglúk laughed, as another Uruk-hai poured a disgusting looking Orc Ale into Merry's mouth.

"Stop it!"
Pippin cried.

"Can’t take his draught! Hahah!!"
Uglúk sneered.

"Leave him alone!"
Pippin cried, fearfully

"Why? You want some? Then keep your mouth shut!"
Uglúk sneered, before he turned away from the Hobbits.

"Merry?"
Pippin called.

"Hello, Pip."
Merry said, as he regained his conciousness.

"You’re hurt?"
Pippin asked, confused at what his friend had just done.

"I’m fine. It was just an act."
Merry replied.

"An act?"
Pippin asked, surprised.

"See? I fooled you too. Don’t worry about me Pippin."
Merry said, as he still tried to make his lie believeable
Suddenly an Uruk-hai started sniffing the air.

"What is it? What do you smell?"
Uglúk asked, anxiously.

The Orc sniffed the air again, before he responded.
"Man-flesh."

"They've picked up our trail!"
Uglúk shouted to the group.

"Aragorn!"
Pippin said, quietly to himself.

"Let's move!"
Uglúk ordered, and they started to run again, to be joined by the Orcs from Mordor.

Pippin struggled to reach his Elven brooch with his teeth, before he tore it off his cloak and dropped it onto the ground. A foot stomped onto the brooch but it remained unbroken and visible on the grass.
