Fear

Trust

Trust. It was a comical thing to Bane. Seeing how he has never trusted anyone in his entire existence except for the girl that was born in the pit.
Now he was faced this girl. This girl was extraordinary and yet flawed. No, Londyn Jonas was not perfect. Nothing is this chaotic life was. Perfection was not real in this city. If Bane had to consider perfection it would be the girl sitting in front of him though.
Bane shoulders tensed at her touched. His brows furrowed and wonder what the girl planned on doing.
Bane didn't give the girl another second.
He grabbed her wrist pulling it back. Bane stared at her thin delicate hands. Her index finger bent reminding Bane he had a part in deforming her.
Bane lips twitched and gazed down at the girl.

"Trusting a man like me is a very dangerous thing"

Bane was giving the girl a warning. Londyn didn't have to go out of her way to actually communicate and interact with the man. This would be her decision. Bane did not want to force her into his life.

But he already did when he saved her.

"What does that mean?" Londyn wondered sitting up.

Bane gaze was calm. "I want you to decide-"

"I already decided" Londyn interrupted him. "I trust you" she met his eyes.

"I don't feel safe without you" she whispered.

This was the moment Bane was waiting for. Exactly four months and two days and the girl was breaking.
But Bane did not feel joy as he thought he would.
He felt panicked at the thought of the girl heading into his fire.

Londyn eyes now blurred with tears. "I just don't want you to leave me"

Bane eyes narrowed. He couldn't form any words. For the first time Bane was dumbfounded.
Londyn scrambled toward Bane.
He found himself opening his arms to the girl.
Londyn found herself wrapping her arms around his waist.
Bane chest rumbled at the thought of the girl actually hugging him.
Bane never revived a hug. It was to emotional and weak.
Londyn leaned her head onto his chest and whispered.

"Don't ever let me go"

Bane found this comical again only because. .

Bane was never letting Londyn out of his grasp now.

"Londyn wake up"

Londyn laid in the Banes bed. She frowned and shook her head. A hard shove to her elbow caused her to smile.
Londyn turned her body away. She heard a heavy sigh.
Londyn held in her laughter by covering her mouth.
She felt brutal fingers on her ankles.
Londyn was quickly pulled under the covers. She laughed and peered up at Bane.

"Are you testing my limits again" he raised a brow.

"Maybe" she met his eyes and smiled.

Bane grumbled incoherent words. Londyn did catch him calling her a child. She beamed and threw the covers off of her.

"Are you feeling restless yet?" Londyn eyed him seeing that it had been days since Bane slept.

"No"

Bane crossed his arms "We will train today then you will accompany me to a meeting"

Londyn nodded "What kind of -"

Bane glowered down at her. Bane raised his finger toward the bathroom door.

"Okay. Okay" Londyn mumbled.

Bane watched her skip to the bathroom with a roll of his eye. Minutes later Londyn stepped out in sweats and a light grey sweater. Her hair was pulled back.
Bane led her though the tunnels. As the pair passed the sparring room Londyn interest sparked.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"To the roof"

Roof? Londyn thought bewildered.

"We are going to work on your balance"

Londyn froze and peered up at him to see if he was miraculously teasing her.
Bane expression was hard. Londyn glanced away nervously.

"You have nothing to fear" he stated.

Bane started to climb a ladder. He unlatched a lever and pushed forward revealing the early morning sky.
Londyn peered up squinting her eyes.
Bane waited patiently.
She began to climb and was lifted at the last step.
Bane gently placed her down.
Londyn gazed around.
The rooftop seemed abandoned which only meant the building was too.

"The tunnels lead to any part of the city?"

"The important areas"

Londyn nodded taking in his words.

"Now step onto the ledge"

Londyn head snap forward. "Excuse me?" She asked incredulously.

Bane took ahold of her forearm and led her to the edge of the building.
Londyn pulled away from his grasp.

"You're insane" she crossed her arms to her chest.

Bane brows furrowed "You speak of trust but you do not express it?"

"I don't want to fall to my death" Londyn exclaimed wildly throwing her hands around.

"The fall will not cause you death"

Londyn glared and shook her head violently. "You're insane" she repeated.

Bane eyes crinkled "So I heard"

Londyn scoffed and stepped closer to him eyeing the edge carefully. "This will gain balance?" She asked dryly.

"Of course" Bane said cheerfully.

"I will stand right here if you decide to be clumsy"

"Ha. Ha" she said scowling at him.

Bane waited amused by the girl being unwilling to do the task.
Londyn nodded to herself and peered down and saw the drop was a few feet. It would break a bone she thought wincing.

"I can do this" she said trying to sum up some courage.

Bane encouraged her by nodding his head.
Londyn stepped onto the ledge. Bane stepped forward and the girl gripping his military jacket.

"I will let go" he warned.

Londyn nodded. Bane stared down at the tiny fist she had on his jacket. He smiled and looked over her head at the rising sun.

"This isn't so bad" Londyn mumbled.

And with that Bane stepped away. Londyn stood frozen on the ledge. Bane gazed at her deeply. He held in his laughter.

"Move"

Londyn clenched her jaw "No"

"Trust"

Bane raised his brow challenging her. Londyn eyes narrowed and turned her body slowly. Londyn stepped forward.
Her movement were very slow.
Bane stepped closer in case the clumsy girl did fall.
Londyn quicken her space a little growing confident. Bane frowned disapproving her moves.
Londyn inched closer to the railing edge. She turned her body.
The movement swift and Londyn stumbled forward.
Bane took ahold of her elbow steadying the girl.

"Move forward" he told Londyn.

Londyn nodded and began to inch forward. She couldn't resist to peer down at the height. At least she wasn't afraid of heights. Londyn took deep breaths as Bane kept his pace with her.
Londyn glanced at him as he slowly stepped with her.
Once she walked to the end Londyn stepped down and peered up at Bane.

"I didn't fall" Londyn stated clapping her hands beaming.

Bane contraption expressed a laugh. Londyn stepped forward hesitantly. She met his abnormal eyes and wrapped her arms around his waist. Londyn squeezed against him and whispered

"Thank you"

Bane hand grazed the girl back and swiftly padded her back. Londyn pulled away and spun around. She clenched her chest as her heart was beginning to soar.
Collecting herself she turned to face Bane.

"What's next?" She smiled.

Bane without saying a word held up his hands.
Londyn shoulders slumped and stepped forward.

"What were you excepting" Bane wondered.

"I don't know" she shrugged her shoulders.

Londyn began to collided her fist into Banes waiting palm. At there touch it send little sensations through Londyn.

"Where is this meeting?" She thought aloud.

"Downtown"

The expensive part of town.
Londyn hand began to ache. She looked up at Bane and saw his eyes crinkling seeing that she was getting tired.

"Switch"

Londyn sighed relived and lifted her leg aiming toward Banes chest.
Bane grabbed her leg swiftly and threw it down.
Every move was blocked.
Londyn aimed between Banes legs. She kicked forward.
Bane caught her by heel. His brows were raised. Londyn smiled.
Bane took ahold of Londyn's foot and lifted the girl easily off the pavement.
Londyn back collided with the pavement. She peered up at Bane as he still had a grasp on her foot.

"Excellent move" he commented. "Dealing with any male that can make any man drop"

"You?" She raised her brow.

Bane chuckled "Certainly not"

Bane released his hold of her foot. Londyn laid on the cold pavement.
The sounding of a horn being honk caused Londyn head to snap up.
Bane offered her his open palm. Londyn grasped his hand.
Bane walked swiftly to the ledge. Bane glanced down at her and lifted his leg over the ledge.
Londyn peered up at him bewildered.
Bane eyes crinkled at his sides and released her hand.
Then he jumped over the ledge.
Londyn scrambled toward the ledge and peered down.
Bane stood perfectly on his feet.A black SUV was idly parked on the curb.
The man is invincible Londyn thought amazed.

"I am waiting"

Londyn saw Bane open with massive arms. His head lowered giving her a nod.
Londyn nodded and carefully threw her leg over.
Londyn met Banes abnormal eyes.

"Trust" she whispered.

Then she jumped off the ledge and into Banes waiting arms.
Bane arms tightened around her waist.
Londyn sighed relived and rested her hand on his chest.
Bane lowered down gently onto the pavement.
Londyn raised her lips into a smile.

"Our chariot awaits"

Bane and Londyn sat in the back seats of the SUV as Barsad drove.
Londyn peered up at Bane from time to time. She would lower her gaze whenever his blue eyes would land on her.
The pair sat close together in the vehicle. Bane could hear her intake of breaths and that's when he would feel some joy inside of him.

"Bane"

Bane averted his gaze to the girls. Londyn sat in her seat leaning toward him.

"I think-"

"We are here" Barsad informed Bane.

Londyn swallowed and stepped into the daylight.
They stood in the back of a complex. Bane pulled the girl close to his side.
They moved into the building with Barsad following. Barsad carried a automatic weapon in his hands.
The duo came to a elevator. As it opened Bane offered Londyn to step in first.
She stepped into the elevator and Bane pressed the pent house button.
In scripted letters it read Daggett.
Londyn froze as she approached this man a dozen times. John Daggett.
John Daggett was in tow with Wayne Enterprises. Londyn gazed at Bane questionably.
The elevators doors peered open and the duo stepped out.
Bane turned to Londyn and placed his hand on her shoulder. She met his eyes.
Bane gently pushed Londyn against the wall.

"Stay here"

Two men in black suites opened the double doors for Bane.
As the doors open she could hear a furious voice that belonged to John Daggett.

"Where is Bane?"

Then Banes low contraption uttered the words "Speak of the devil and he shall appear"

The double doors closed muffling Bane speech. Londyn waited pressing her hands together.
It was now confirmed to her that Bane was somehow involve with Daggett and Bruce Wayne.
Low murmurs filled the hall.

"I am necessary evil"

The voice of Bane filled the lobby.
Then Muffled screams escaped through the doors.
Londyn met Barsad eyes as he stood unfazed by the scream echoing through the walls.
Londyn stood unfazed as well.
Londyn found herself unable to process her emotions.
Because she herself grown used to the screams.
Screams were voiced everyday she spent with Bane.
