Fear

A image of the girl lying limp on the floor caused Bane to leapt into the waiting car.
Bane received the call as the clock struck twelve at night.
The voice was frantic informing him that the girl was having some sort of nervous breakdown.
It caused Bane's chest to heave with a force of panic.

"Drive faster" He spoke calmly "Or I will kill you"

The man driving inched his foot with more force. Bane gazed at the speedometer as the needle told him the vehicle was approaching a hundred miles per hour.
Bane folded his hands together and leaned against the seat.
Bane controlled his sudden anger.
He could not trust any man with the girl. They all had the urge to harm her. Brake her innocence.
Bane promised himself the girl with be in no more danger.
Even if he was the danger himself.
The truck slowed to a stop.
Bane had no time to wait. He gracefully leapt out of vehicle.
The automatic doors opened and Bane stepped through.
Having no time in waiting. Bane climbed the stairs taking three at a time swiftly.
Bane opened the door and stepped into the hallway expecting the worse.
Bane gaze fell on the blood. The body had vanished.

"Bane"

The voice held some sort of cry and hysterical.
Bane lowered his gaze.
Londyn. Bane took in the bloody shirt and her shaky limbs.
The girl collapsed into Banes waiting arms.

"Leave" He commanded his men peering down at the small girl in his arms.

The remaining man was Barsad. He stood with Londyn as she shook against him whispering for Bane.
Barsad lowered his gaze at the pair and exited the hallway.
Londyn chest heaved forcing out the sobs.
She closed her eyelids tightly and griped the leather jacket of Banes.

"It was horrible" Londyn shook.

"Oh the blood" Londyn cried into Banes chest.

"Crying is unnecessary" Bane spoke calmly as Londyn raised her red swollen eyelids toward him. "I am here now"

The sobs broke through Londyn's chest hearing his words.

"You need rest"

Effortlessly Bane took the girl into his arms.
Bane walked through the complex gazing steadily ahead.
Londyn was placed gently on the floor.
Bane turned and peered around for her night attire.
A sigh escaped his contraption to see no clothing of the sort.
Bane reached for one of his items of clothing.

"Raise your shirt" Such calmness flowed through his contraption.

Londyn stammered slightly.
Impatiently Bane took ahold of the hem of her white shirt.
Bane raised the shirt over Londyn's head.
She was exposed completely bare in front of the man.
But his abnormal eyes still looked into her green orbs. His gaze never leaving Londyn's.
Slowly he pulled his own shirt over her head. Londyn raised her arms and her body was swallowed with Banes large shirt.
Bane hands reached for the button of her denim pants.
Londyn jumped gasping.
Bane raised a single brow.

"Do you prefer if you undress yourself?"

Londyn merely nodded and turned slightly fumbling to step out her pants.
Absently she placed her hand against Banes arm for balance.
Londyn wiggled out of her jeans and kicked them to the corner of the room.

"I suggest you take medication to help you sleep"

Londyn bit down on her lower lip. "Okay" her voice was hoarse from all the crying she did.

Bane nodded and took a capsule of sleeping medication. He placed the pill in hers hands.

"This will cause you to be drowsy"

"I need that right now" She muttered swallowing the pill dryly.

Bane led her to the large bed.
He picked her up and placed her under the covers.

"Don't go" She cried suddenly feeling a rush of panic.

"I do not plan on leaving" He said with furrowed brows.

"Stay" She mumbled and patted the open space to her.

Bane chest rumbled with the sudden urge to laugh.
He laid down next to the girl.
Feeling the effect of the medication Londyn scooted herself closer to Bane.

"I am terribly sorry for this to happen to you"

Londyn eyes narrowed and she lifted her gaze to see Bane abnormal eyes were in fact sincere.
Her heart hammered in her chest.

"But you defended yourself" Bane stated meeting her marveled gaze. "And for that I am proud"

"I will allow you to be at my side twenty four seven from now on"

Londyn lips spread into a lazy smile. "I would enjoy that"

Bane smiled gently at her innocence.

"Bane?" Londyn whispered.

"Yes?"

"I killed a man" She whispered "Am I a horrible person?"

Such a innocent soul Bane thought. "Absolutely not"

Londyn grasped his words and allowed herself to take in the meaning.
She was still good.
Pure, even.

Londyn yawned causing Bane to smile.

"You can sleep now" Bane said in the darkness that filled the room.

"I am" Londyn whispered.

A chuckle escaped his mask.
Suddenly the girls head collided onto Banes shoulder.
Reflexively , his whole body tensed at the odd sensation.
The girls soft breathing now filled the room.

"You are a butterfly" Bane whispered twirling a fallen strand of her black hair between his fingers. "I will repair your wings"

The girl slept silently beside him. Bane chest rumbled with such intensity that he thought it would break him.
And Bane heard her heavy heartbeats in the darkness.
So he stayed in the darkness with the girl.
Counting the every single heartbeat she took.
This lasted until dawn approached the clouded sky.
