Hope

The black hole of death succumb Londyn Jonas as her heart beat was slowly but surely fading.

Thump

Londyn awoke gasping for air to fill her lungs.
Blaring white light shone through the open space. Londyn was surrounded in white light.

Londyn stood, an ache increasing in her chest.

"You're here"

Londyn jumped from the sudden voice filling the light room.

"Who are you?" She whispered as a figure stood against the light shielding Londyn vision.

A carefree laugh grazed Londyn eardrums.
Londyn immediately recognized the laughter.

It was her own.

The figure stepped out in a long white lace dress. Londyn eyes widen and wondered if she was actually dying.

"You're.." Londyn trailed off. "Me"

The Londyn , she saw was a younger self. A happier self.
No fear held in her green orbs.

"I am" A smile settled on her heart shape lips.

"How is this possible?" Londyn wondered.

"I am just a figment of your subconscious"

Londyn winced as she stepped forward to examined her own self. Her reflection held warmth. Her black hair was shorter as Londyn was longer.

"Before Bane came" Londyn whispered.

The reflection nodded gently.

"Am I going to die?" Londyn whispered.

"I am no god"

Londyn clasped her hands together. "So I wait for the light to come take me?" A bitter taste filled her mouth as she spoke.

Her reflection smiled. "The light is here"

Londyn gazed around as the blaring light blurred her vision.

"I suppose I'm gonna die a little bit earlier"

"He has molded you"

"It's want he wants" Londyn spoke softly.

"But regrets"

Londyn rose a single brow.

"To pure to shift down to his monstrous level"

"He's no monster" Londyn interjected quickly. "This is not his work"

"So naive"

Londyn clenched her jaw.

"You are blind by you're loyalty"

The reflection locked gazes with Londyn.

"Love" Londyn whispered. "It's unrealistic"

The pair lifted there gazes and Londyn chest suddenly heaved.

"What's happening?" Londyn cried clenching her chest.

The reflection smiled gently and stepped toward Londyn.

Thump

The slow beating heart of Londyn's was beginning to amplify.

"Clear"

The electric shock caused Londyn to collapsed against the white tile.

The blaring light glitched as the electricity flooded through her.

Londyn began to scream as the pain swallowed her whole.

"Stop" Tears filled her eyes.

Her reflection lowered herself to grasped Londyn hands in hers.

Londyn's heart twitched in her chest and began beating at a un normal rate.
Londyn felt lips against hers and her own voice filled her eardrums.

"He feels for you. Did you honestly think he would let you die?"

The blaring light seemed to disappear as if a flick of a switch.
Defibrillation caused a normal beating of her heart.

"Clear"

The shock caused Londyn body to shake convulsing with the shock.

"Stable heartbeat"

"She's breathing"

Monitors surrounded Londyn. Rushing of steps around her.

But the only sound that caused a calm beat of Londyn heart. .

The hiss of Bane's contraption right against her ear.

A single day passed and Londyn still laid limp in the massive bed.
Bane intently gazed down at the girl.

"Give her time" Lorenzo murmured grasping his things in his hands. "Londyn will awake"

Bane held no words for him. Never looking away from the girl.

"You must be proud. She's a fighter"

But Bane wasn't proud.
He felt empty to know the girl wasn't waking.

Londyn could hear every voice that stepped into the room. But she could not comprehend their words.

It frighten her to know she couldn't force her lids open.

"Londyn"

A young male voice pleaded leaning into her.

"It's really bad here"

Finally, Londyn would mange to comprehend it was Spencer who was speaking.

"Bane killed half of his men"

"He's going nuts"

"Please wake up, he needs you"

A voice thrilled the room. Sudden rushing of footsteps exited the room.

Londyn realized with a heavy heart that it was Bane voice that filled the room.

Bane sat in the den of the complex. His gaze fixed on the wall, staring into nothing.

Bane memories traveled to the many times he watched the girl in the den. Either sleeping in a ball on the sofa or laughing at the television. Bane was always watching her.

She was his favorite film or television show.

Bane leant his head against the sofa and clasped in lids to a shut.
Tightly as he eyes and chest were, Bane rage staggered through him.

Bane lips twitched and thought of a old memory. The first week the girl spent with him.

The girl fear stank the tunnels and consumed her being causing her limbs to shake as she walked.
Bane ignore the girl completely having no interest. As one night Bane passed the darken room where she stayed.
Curious, Bane cracked open the door. The girl laid in a ball, as she always did. Tears streaked down her cheeks. Bane cocked his head as the dark hair reminded him of Talia


A clearing of a throat caused Bane to reveal his orbs.
Barsad placed himself beside Bane.

"It has been more than a day"

Bane head grazed into a single nod.

"I fear, that she will not wake up" Barsad murmured. "Possibly she has brain damage-"

Bane glared in no particular direction. "Her vitals are surprisingly perfect. She is well"

Barsad hand cupped his chin pondering Bane's words. "I think she'll awake for you. Speak to her"

"I have"

Barsad eyes widen and turned his head in Bane's direction.

"There is no hope"

A slamming of the door caused both men to jump in a defensive stance.
Footsteps echoed against the hall.

"Sir" One on his men yelled rounding the concern to the den. "Londyn is awake"

Londyn held hope as the rush of her breathing caused her to wake.
She gasped all the air to fill her lungs.

"Bane"

Londyn whispered, her hands clenching the covers. Her body shuddering to see him nowhere.

Heavy footsteps grazed the front door.

"Leave" The hiss of his contraption spoke.

Londyn fidgeted against the bed. She gazed down and quickly noticed the massive gauze wrapped around her chest.

The door open but Londyn examined the mess of her body.
The bed shifted as he rested down beside her.
Londyn head lifted to gaze up at him.

"Bane" The tears brimming her eyes.

Bane abnormal eyes shifted in a soft and steady gaze. "You're alive"

Londyn lowered her gaze. Bane hand rested on her own. She took in the drumming of her heart.

"What's the verdict?"

Bane rose a single brow, grimacing at her choice of words. "You have a cracked collarbone. You lost a quality amount of blood. You bruised a rib"

Londyn pressed her lips together. "A normal day.."

A growl escaped his mask as he glared into her eyes. "How can you speak so lightly at the matter of you dying?"

"I didn't die" Londyn mumbled. "Not yet"

Bane expressed another growl before heaving up into a stance.

"Please don't leave" Londyn said softly. "Im Sorry"

Bane back muscles tensed as he shifted himself in the chair beside her.

"I'm happy I didn't die" Londyn hands fumbled as she lowered her gaze. "I wasn't ready"

"You perplex me" Bane expressed a sigh.

"Are you happy?" Londyn whispered turning her attention to him. "That I didn't die?"

Bane brow furrowed at such a question.
But the side of his eyes creased as he smiled.

"Happiness does not compare to how I feel to know you're safe"

Her heart fiddled and danced in her chest. If she wasn't going to die.. Then she was going to die now from his words.

"I have to inform you of something" Londyn whispered.

Bane leaned in closer. Londyn opened her mouth but trailed off.
She locked gazes with Bane with a furrowed brow.

"Bane-" Londyn began. "I have to say this once. Just once. I don't care if you can't acknowledge emotions. I just need to tell you that-"

Bane seemed to be tensing in his seat.
Londyn swallowed the lump in her throat.

"I love you" Londyn burst. "I think I'll always love you"

Bane abnormal eyes were calm as he replied with:

"I know"
