Did I Just *** Up?
Matt’s POV
The sun was almost out of sight as I sat outside of Jasabelle’s house, leaning up against my car. After I left the house, I didn’t know where I could go. Brian’s house was out of the question because of Michelle. And the other guys didn’t even know how bad our problems had gotten. The front door slowly opened and Jazzy stepped out of the house.
“Jas” I called out her name since she couldn’t see me. Her head snapped in my direction. I raised my hand to wave, but then quickly put it back down to my side. “Hey” I called walking up to her. “Hi” a tiny smile reached her lips.
“What are you doing here?” “I just wanted to hang out. That’s all.” “Well let’s hang out” I smiled, showing off my dimples. I gently grabbed her hand and led her back to my car. I put my hands around her waist and hoisted her up on the front of the SUV. I jumped off the ground and quickly joined her. “It’s nice out” she stated, looking around, breathing in the cool California air.
“Yeah it is. I like the nights better than the days.” “Me too!” there was a pause in the conversation. “So really, why’d you come over here?” “Well, I need someone to talk to.” “I’m all ears” her smile was sweet and kind. “What’s the problem?” “God, I don’t even know where to start” I slowly ran my hand down my face. “My wife” I finally started. It took a couple minutes, but I finally caught her up to what happened not even an hour ago.
“So now, I guess I’m just gonna be living in a hotel for a while” I finished and waited for her to say something. “Matt, I don’t know what to say. I don’t get how people fall out of love with other people” she lifted her eyes from the ground and looked towards me. “I mean, you don’t sound like a bad guy. So how in the world could she not love you anymore?” I felt the biggest smile of my life fall upon my lips. “Ya know, that’s the nicest thing anyone’s said to me in a long time” she quietly giggled. “I don’t know how that can be.” “You obviously don’t know how much of a bitch my wife can be” I paused, before I traced back and changed wife to ex wife.
“So you’re gonna file for divorce?” I could tell she was kind of hesitant in asking that question. “Why not? It’s over. Shouldn’t I be the first one to file the papers?” she nodded slowly. “If that’s what you want.” “Of course it is. She hasn’t cared about me in a long time. She even admitted it” she nodded. “As long as it makes you happy.” “Ya know, we should do this more often” I said, wanting to change the subject. “What, sit on your car and talk about your bitch of an ex-wife?” I couldn’t help but laugh.
“I mean, hang out. If it involves doing exactly what you just said then I’m fine with that” a car door slammed in the distance as she smiled and nodded. “Jasabelle?” a new voice asked. I looked up and saw her dad getting out of his car. “What?” I could tell her mood had changed and she seemed more upset now. “Who’s your friend?” he asked, coming towards us.
He gave me a knowing look, but also one that said not to say a word. “This is Matt. He volunteers in my unit.” “Oh. Hello, Matt. I’m Doctor Marks. It’s nice to meet you” he didn’t offer his hand to shake. “You too, Doctor Marks.” “What are you two doing out here?” “We’re just hanging out, dad” there was obviously annoyance in her voice. “Well it’s time to come inside, Jasabelle” she slowly slid off my car and followed him inside. Before he closed the door, Jasabelle and her father gave me two different looks.
I couldn’t help but wonder if I had just fucked up my deal with Doctor Marks.

So I took down this chapter that I had previously put up because I didn't like it. I rewrote it and here it is. :) I'm working on the next chapter but I have writer's block with it. So some of it is already written but I'm working on the rest of it.
