Floating Body

Chapter One

The celebrations started as he fell into the pool. The disturbed blue water around him quickly became tainted with red, and it spread from there. The celebration wasn't for the dead body now floating in the pool. I don’t think anyone really noticed. It was just an amusing coincidence that both happened at the same time. Yes, no one noticed until miss perfect Ally Bryan’s head popped above the surface right next to the body. At first she was confused as to why her hands were red after she wiped her hands over her face, but when it dawned on her what was floating in front of her, she screamed. And of course that drew everyone’s attention.

Fascinating how blood moves through water.

I don't know about the last line. I saw the prompt the generator pooped out, and I came up with this little than 100 word drabble deal. Summer's coming up, and I might add more. Or I'll add more four years from now. Or never. I've been up since 7am yesterday, and it is currently 5:15am. So the lack of sleep must be the result of this...
