Soldier

My mom shakes me awake causing me to jump up with surprise. "Read this" her voice starts to crack. I take hold of the crisp paper it says "you have been selected by the US army to become a US soldier". I must read this statement several times intill my brain decides it's ready to understand the writing on the page. My jaw drops "why me, what do they see in me" I say. My mom hand me a bag, I open it to find pictures and cloths. My mom tears in her eyes instantly takes my hand and pulls me to the front door. I ask her "why am I out here" but she just hugs and kisses me and leaves me out side. I decide to sit down. There is a slight breeze which blows back my rather short hair. Then I hear a loud beating noise I look up and see a helicopter that has "US army" army on it. A rope ladder unravels itself before me and I start to climb up.
