A Titanium Heart
The year is 2060.
The world has recovered from the disease outbreak of 2015, a water-borne epidemic that wiped out 99% of the human population. Billions of people, dead, all within a year. A year before the cure was fashioned, before the death could stop.
Years later, there exists only one country. All of the remaining members of the world fashioned into one state, a state with five districts: North, South, East, West, and the Capitol in the middle of it all. Technology has advanced beyond what anyone could imagine.
They have the ability to create a half-human, half-metal species. They can create cyborgs.
Trinity is the first of her kind, the first to be created and used in the field. She has been expertly engineered to lack extreme emotions. She has the strength of twelve adult men. And yet, she can't help but feel as though something is missing.
At least, so she thinks.
