Shooting Star

Preface

You know what sucks? Being me. Alex Monroe. At home I constantly hear my parents fighting and you would think I'd be able to get away from that at school, but there I'm equally as miserable. Most times I blend in with the background, but some days the "popular girls" take time off from doing their hair and make-up to make my life miserable.

At first whenever I thought about my life, I always wished to be accepted because then they'd stop picking on me. But as I reached Junior year of high school, I no longer wanted to be accepted. I wanted to be respected, different than anybody else. I wanted to be someone who no one would dare bully. And one night I finally got my wish, though it wasn't anything I had in mind. I didn't get famous and I wasn't the daughter of some well-know politician. Instead I got something extraordinary.

I got superpowers.

So, lately I've been obsessed with superheros and villains and decided to write a story about it and this is the product of my obsession.
