A New Team
The Game
Nicky was able to get tickets for me and my brother to go to his game. Since I had magically come up with tickets to a huge hockey game the night of the game, I had to tell my brother about Nicky and how he got us tickets. He just laughed saying something about how it was funny that I could get a guys number by getting in his way and blocking his car.
He and I were sitting about five rows from the ice right in the corner. They were great seats. We had already watched the warmups and everyone was looking good. I was so excited. All I wanted was the Caps to win this game and move on to the next round of the playoffs. I had been to Caps games before, but not a playoff game.
The arena was electric. The crowd booed when the referees and the Islanders came out. The we heard the horn blast and out skated the Caps! The arena erupted into cheers and shouts.
LETS GO CAPS! LETS GO CAPS! LETS GO CAPS!
​After the National Anthem the crowd quieted down as the starting took to the center for the faceoff. I was almost shaking with excitement. This was going to be a great game.
