i'm terrible at summaries but basically jack's in love with alex (cliche wow) and alex is dating lisa and jack is trying to get alex to realise lisa is a total bitch and he would be better but alex won't listen so it's starting to eat at jack's self-esteem which then makes it difficult for jack to think highly of himself and... yeah.
