The day that will forever be burned into my memory is the day we were sitting in the hospital room and the doctor said my most hated word: leukemia. It was as if all the air had been knocked out of my lungs. I couldn’t believe you of all people had leukemia. You were so healthy. You ate all organic food, ran four times a week, and did yoga two times a week. Plus you were such a good person. How could someone so good have to go through this? I would have given anything to trade places with you. I've hated seeing you suffer these past few months. I’m glad the suffering is over for you now, but now comes my suffering…life without you.
