Sometimes I hate you for signing that stupid paper. I’m talking about the paper that says to take you off of life support. I know why you did it; you didn’t want to be some sort of vegetable for the rest of your life. You also didn’t want to leave me with the decision of when to take you off the machines so you signed that paper that says to take you off on the third day. Part of me is glad that you signed the paper I guess. I never would have been able to tell the doctors to take you off the machines. I know it’s what you’d want but actually saying the words would have been impossible. Even when you were slowly dying, you were thinking of me.
