What Happens in the Locker Room...
I Came Back for You Ann
Mike backed away from Maria right into the wall. His shoulder hit a light switch that turned the lights on in the locker room. Maria let out a shrill shriek and dropped to all fours. She crawled along the floor then up the wall and ceiling and back into the vent. Darcy screamed.
“She just - up the wall - how?” She stammered.
“That incantation she spoke, that was Latin. She possessed herself. I’m not that good at Latin, but she called on a spirit saying she was empty and needed to be filled.” Said Anna. “The second thing she said was that we can’t get out of here and that we are all going to die today. Mike, your accident saved my life. She wants me gone first, because I know the most about her.” Mike sighed as the tension in the room rose.
“What we gonna do?” Asked Alex.
“Alex, I need you and Brooks to go get hockey sticks. We can use them. Stay together.” They nodded and walked off cautiously. “Tom, Mike, can you find a sharpened skate for each of us? Just in case.”
“Yeah.” Said Mike. They walked to where the skates were stored and found four newly sharpened skates. Mike gave his second to Darcy, and Tom gave his to Anna.
“So that light came as a shock to Maria,” Said Anna, “But she is going to adjust and come back. I don’t know when though.”
HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....
The hissing noise came from the corner of the room. Maria was crouched like she was poised to jump. Darcy ran behind everyone.
Maria didn’t flinch, but something glinted in her hand. She had a blade that was detached from an ice skate. There was blood on the blade and blood on her hand. It looked like she had been squeezing the blade tightly and cutting herself.
She cocked her head to the side and widened her eyes. “I came back for you Ann.” Her eyes rolled back into her head and she shrieked and lunged at Anna.
“She just - up the wall - how?” She stammered.
