Without Warning

My, my, my

"So how much is it going to take?" Everly's step brother's voice filled her bedroom as he stood a mere two feet in front of her. His eyes were set on serious mode as he crossed his arms over his chest making his usual sweet exterior seem a bit more intimidating.

"This is a joke, right?" The girl questioned with a raised eyebrow even though his body language alone was telling her there was nothing funny about this proposition.

"Do you think I'm joking? He's out of control. He slept with a girl Pat has been in love with for months. I don't know what else to do, but to give him a dose of his own medicine!"

"Kennedy, I..."

"You what? You know you can do it. You are the most ruthless person I know and I know you won't be sucked into his charm." He spoke, cutting her off mid-sentence just to get his point across.

She couldn't help but pace the floor as his words repeated over and over in her head. Was he really implying such a thing? Had he officially gone mad and she was unaware?

"So what will this entail?" She asked, curiosity getting the best of her as she looked over at him and he grinned, "Is that a yes?"

"It was a question, dumbass."

Kennedy rolled his eyes at her sarcasm, "Fine, you come on tour with us, get him to fall for you, break his heart. It's that simple."

"And the guys are ok with you planning such a mean, un-Kennedy like event?"

"Everly, he's horrible. You just don't get it. How can you hurt Pat? It will be a good life lesson which, Kennedy is all about." He responded, referring to himself in 3rd person and she couldn't help but chuckle even though she didn't want to.

"Well, very true. Fine. But you owe me so much. When you become superstars I expect a huge check."

"And that's what you'll get!"

She sighed as she ran her hand through her dark hair, "When is this tour starting again?"

"Oh you know, we leave tomorrow..."

She couldn't hold in the groan that fell from her lips, "You are on thin ice, buddy."

"I know! I promise it will be fun. Plus the guys will love you being there." He stated, knowing exactly what he needed to say to get what he wanted.

Sure, Kennedy and her were step siblings, but that really meant nothing since they had been thrown together at the mere age of 5. He was only 4 months older than her and although that was grounds for fighting, the pair rarely did. In a cliqué kind of way he had become her best friend. So much so that they now were roommates. Then again, that could simply be from the fact that the thought of rooming with a girl made her cringe. She just couldn't handle it. She guessed growing up around nothing but boys did that to you.

"Ok, ok!" She finally shouted as Kennedy tried to fight back a smile. She then stomped to her room acting like it was such an inconvience when really the thought of spending the whole summer with the boys traveling didn't sound half bad.

Even if that now involved her having to some how romantically win over John O'Callaghan and break his heart in a 3 month time span.

Good thing she was always up for a challenge.

Although I'm not planning on starting this story any time soon, I have a lot written and I figured a prologue wouldn't hurt!

I also got to see The Maine for the millionth time the other night. They always amaze me. Although, it took everything in me not to yell at Garrett for being so stupid. I mean, you were gifted with amazing looks and you decide to look like that?!...Just something I will never understand. OK, enough of my rambling. Enjoy. :)
