I stood from the couch again and ran out to Alex's bunk, returning with one of his notebooks and a pen.
"I can't write anything now," he disagreed when he saw the items, and I shook my head again.
"We're playing tic-tac-toe," I explained, opening to a clean page and hastily drawing a board. "Here, you can go first."
