I Can't Believe How Bad You Got Me

Baby Weimer!

“Aw Ry,” I cooed, holding up a cute little baby blanket. “This is cute!”

“Yeah we should get that,” He smiled as we looked around the baby store. “This would be easier if we knew what they were having.”

“But there’s so much cute stuff!” I cooed, finding so many things I wanted to get baby Weimer.

Ryan kind of wandered off but I kept looking around. I had found a bunch more cute things and was putting them in the cart when Ryan came back. He had his arms full of toys, clothes and all kind of things. I couldn’t help but laugh.

“We are spoiling our future niece or nephew,” I giggled.

“And that’s…bad?” Ryan laughed.

“I see no problem with that,” I smiled.

Ryan’s blue eyes lifted to mine and he smiled brightly, making me melt from his beautiful smile. I couldn’t figure out what he was smiling at and couldn’t help but ask what.

“I just thought about what you said,” Ryan started. “How it’s going to be our niece or nephew. That just makes me happy.”

“It makes me happy too,” I beamed, leaning in to kiss his cheek.

“You’ll have to start practicing writing Dungey after your name,” He cutely said, wrapping an arm around me.

I couldn’t do anything but smile and nuzzle my face into the crook of his neck. Ryan chuckled and rubbed my back, planting a kiss on the top of my head. After this, the two of us bought the mound of adorable baby stuff and headed back to Ryan’s house before going to give the Weimers the presents.

I started packing up all the gifts as did Ryan but his phone started ringing. I heard his first few words but then I could tell the tone in his voice changed. I looked up and saw him run a hand through his hair before finishing his conversation. When he hung up, I went over and rubbed my hand on his back.

“That was Jake,” Ryan sighed.

“What did he say?” I questioned.

“He just said Ky’s been really sensitive lately because of the baby and has been down on herself,” He pouted. “I don’t like when my sister’s upset.”

“Aw baby,” I cooed, kissing his cheek. “I know, I don’t like it either.”

“I want to make her feel better,” Ryan told me.

“Well…I think I might have something that will make her smile,” I started.

I got up and ran out to my car, getting the item and coming back in. Ryan was sitting on the floor, surrounded by all the baby presents and I sat next to him, putting the present I had for Ky in his lap.

“I had been wanting to give her and Jake a wedding present so I put all of the adorable pictures of them together ever since they started dating up until when they came home from their honeymoon in this scrapbook,” I explained.

“I think this will make her smile,” Ryan grinned. “You even have pictures of them as little kids! Where did you get these?”

“Well I have a bunch from when Jake and I were kids but one day when you were hurt and taking a nap, I looked through your pictures and found them,” I giggled.

“Kirstie, I think this is going to cheer her up,” He told me, kissing me softly.

“I hope so,” I replied. “And hopefully all the cute presents will help too.”

Ryan let out a laugh, looking around at all the presents. I don’t know, but I can’t imagine being pregnant is fun and I want to do everything that I can for my best friend and my future sister-in-law!
