Euphoria

It's dark, even with my
eyes wide open. Where
am I, how did I get here?
I tried to sit up but my
head hits a roof. My
hands are tied behind
my back, and I begin
to panic and scream.

I'm in a trunk of a car.
And the car comes to a
quick stop, throwing me
around. The trunk opens
and Silas stands there
with a grin on his face.
“I couldn't let you tell
them what I was doing.”

Tears fall from my eyes.
Is this the person I fell in
love with? Or is this the
monster I failed to see.
'Silas, please don't hurt
me, please I'll stay with
you. I want to be with you.
I love you.'

The words escaped my
mouth. And I meant them.
I really do love him. And
I really do want to be with
him, just not tied up and
thrown into a trunk.
Silas stares at me, thinking
about my words.

“I love you too Jasmin.”
He says softly, in that
angel voice of his. Then
he pulls out a knife and
leans in the trunk. I start
to scream more and he puts
his hand around my mouth.
“Don't scream, just shut up.”
