Euphoria

“If anybody thinks
about moving a muscle
I will personally shoot
you, right between the
eyes. Jasmin, grab some
cash out of the register,
and don't be afraid to
use that gun okay?”

I nodded, I don't want
him to turn his gun on
me. I ran to the register
and pointed my gun at
the man. 'Open it.'
I tried to sound tough.
I tried to not be scared.
I'm doing this for Silas.

The man handed me wads
of cash. My eyes glowed.
I know what I wanted to
do. I know what I needed
to do. I shoved it in my
pocket and ran back over
to Silas. “Now, you go back
to eating and let us leave.”

Out of the corner of my
eye I saw a lady pick up
her phone. My hand had a
mind of it's own when it
fired the gun and planted a
bullet in the lady's face. Blood
splattered everywhere.
Customers started screaming.

Silas laughed and shoved the
waitress away from him.
He grabbed my hand and
we ran out of the diner.
I was no longer scared.
In that moment I felt
like nothing could
touch us.
