Never Coming Home

It's World War II, Anne "Monty" Montial Miller was the daughter of the General of the United States Army until he was murdered by a German rebel. Leaving her an orphaned 17 year old, she goes to live with her aunt and cousin Adam in New Jersey. When Adam is called into war, she steals his uniform and information and sneaks into the Army posing as a man. There she meets Mikey Way, and the jackasses Frank and Bob, Corporal Toro, and of course: Major Gerard Arthur Way, the leader of her squad.
