The Full Short Story.
The caretaker of a man in a mental hospital asked him a question one day. Feeling rather playful, he said, "What defines reality to you?"
The man said, "There isn't a reality. Because there are so many people in this world, opinions are so vastly different. There are some who see something so simple as a spider as a source of fear. Others keep them as pets. Nothing is certain, because opinion IS fact now. Therefore it is impossible of anyone to factually define anything, for opinions vary vastly."
The next day the caretaker was checked into the mental hospital as a patient.
