Parody of Another Fandom

Day 10: Parody Of Another Fandom (The Hunger Games)

Hungry. Hungry. Hungry. Hungry. Hungry. Hungry. Hungry.

Jack Barakat of District 12 was extremely hungry. He couldn't focus on anything else but the awful pain in his stomach.

He was used to starving, being from district 12 but it was never this bad. His parents worked hard and most of the time they had food. But this, this was torturous.

He needed to move forward, to find a hiding place for the night but he was so weak. Just slowly walking was hard. He couldn't focus on anything but food. Oh food.

The delicious rolls, orange juice, pudding. His mouth started watering, just thinking about it. He'd take anything, even the disgusting bread they'd make when times were hard. He was feeling so weak. Lying down on the lush forest floor and just sleeping forever sounded nice.

But Jack had to win, he had to survive. He promised May and Joe he'd come back for them. Beautiful young May, barely young enough to understand what the hunger games were and strong smart Joe who always took care of Jack and the rest of the family. Jack had to do it for them.

He couldn't help but think for the millionth time that Joe could have done everything so far better than him. Joe was always the smart and strong. Jack being thin, lanky and not particularly focused on school, always had to depend on his humor and creativity to succeed and even then he was never as good as Joe.

He brushed back thoughts of it as he realized if he didn't find food and shelter soon he may as well just say goodbye as he wouldn't last long.

There were 7 more tributes in the game. Kellin Quinn from district 8, Hayley Williams from district 3, Oliver Sykes from district 5, Vic Fuentes and Taylor Jardine from district 7, Justin Beiber from district 2, and Alex Gaskarth from district 4. Kellin, Vic Taylor and Oliver had united, despite it normally being district 1,2 and 4 uniting killed most of the careers.  Hayley had disappeared from the beginning of the game. He thought she was hiding somewhere. About Alex and Justin he had no idea.

It felt pretty bleak, especially with his lack of food. He had to eat. Right now. He could barely force himself to move forward. That's when he saw it.

Berries. They were located near a tall tree, just a few feet from him. He slowly walked towards them wondering if he was imagining or could he really be this fortunate.

There they sat, the beautiful bluish purple berries. They would save him. He remembered vaguely Joe telling him not to eat anything unless he was positive he knew it wasn't poisonous. But he was so hungry. They were just normal berries. He had to eat.

He slowly brought it to his mouth when a soft noise of feet landing surprised him. He dropped his berry in surprise, whirled around and grabbed his knife, the only thing he managed to grab from the cornucopia. Archery was his true talent but someone had already taken the bow.

Alex stood there. He looked far from the handsome cocky man Jack met in training. His hair was a mess, like most, he was thinner but most prominent was the bleeding piece of cotton wrapped around his left hand, probably from a knife wound. It looked quite deep and fresh from what Jack could tell.

He prepared himself for a fight. Force never worked for Jack but speed was his true friend.

"Don't eat those." Alex said.

"Why?" Jack asked still prepared in case Alex would attack him.

"They're night lock. It's poisonous. I put them there."

Jack remembered Joe saying something about it. Like most of Joes rants he ignored it. He backed away from the poisonous berries, feeling disappointed.

"Why are you helping me?" He asked. After all, the whole point of the games was killing as many people as possible.

"I was wondering if you want us to be allies." Truth be told, a ally, especially one that might have food would be extremely useful for Jack. But he couldn't help but be curious about Alex's motives.

"Why would you want to be allies with me?"

"Well you've survived for this long. I remember you from training. Everyone thought you wouldn't last, being from district 12 and not a fighter but here you are. Plus you're amazing with bow and arrow and I have them."

"You do?"

"Yep." He said. "So allies?" It was dangerous to be allies, so late in the games, Jack knew, but he really wanted that bow. It could be exactly what he needed in order to win.

"Allies." He gave Alex a smile that he returned.

"C'mon!" Alex said. He started climbing the tree, Jack trying to follow him.

"How the hell can you climb trees? You're from district 4." He panted.

"We had a tree in our house. I loved climbing it. I never thought it would save my life though. Here you go." He said giving Jack the bow and arrows.

"I have water." Jack said, offering Alex his small canteen. Alex smiled thankfully and drank.

"Do you have food?" Jack asked.

"Yeah a bit." He handed Jack a small piece of bread. He ate it gratefully, enjoying it. "Thats all I have. "

Feeling better already Jack said "Let's go hunting." While Jack may have not been the main provider of food in our house,he loved shooting. Normally it would be silly things, like aiming exactly on a strand of hair of a teacher he hated but he knew he could do it. In training he did it.

He climbed out of the tree Alex following. Jack walked out in the woods looking for movement when the footsteps surprised us.

They turned around and met Justin Beiber holding a sword. Out of all the tributes Jack hated him most. He seemed stuck up and rude. Jack took out his knife. Alex took out his longer knife as well.

"You're not seriously going to fight me are you? District 12 is a joke, especially you Barakat. I have no idea how you've managed to live for so long. And Gaskarth. You killed Taylor Swift from my district. The least I can do is return the favor."

"You mean after she stabbed me right?" Alex said preparing himself. He stated at Jack before nodding.

Jack lunged at Beiber, dodging his sword. Alex lunged from the other side. While he was busy fighting Alex Jack stabbed his knife in his side. He looked shocked. He slowly fell to the floor. Blood dripped from his side. A canon sounded. Jack took his knife from him, trying not to appear too disgusted.

"Well that's one down." Jack said to Alex. Alex nodded and gave him a weak smile.

"Let's go get food." Jack said. He started walking and Alex followed silently.

Then Jack saw a squirrel. He aimed carefully, closing one eyes. He released the arrow. It flew through the air and hit it. He turned to smile at Alex when he suddenly fell to the floor.

Jack rushed to him asking whats wrong. Alex's face was contorted in pain as he touched his left side. Blood was all over his hand.

"He cut me. I'll be ok don't worry."

"Show me." He lifted his shirt, showing a thin but muscly stomach and a deep long cut.

"Its that bad?" He asked looking at Jacks face.

"It's ok. I'll help you." Jack said. He told Alex to take of his shirt, ignoring Alexs jokes and wrapped it around the cut.

It was still day so Jack quickly made a fire and baked the squirrel. Alex was clearly in pain. Jack gave him food. Alex laid down on Jacks lap, curling around is cut. Jack played with Alexs soft brown hair, daydreaming away.

Alex looked at him and said "Thank you Jack."

Jack smiled and said "No problem. I'm going to help you." Alex slowly fell asleep on his lap.

Jack didn't know why he said that but he realized it was true. He wanted to protect the small brunet on him.

He didn't know why but he knew there was no way he could hurt him.

Any tributes here? Yes I wrote this cause I wanted to imagine jack and Alex killing justin Beiber oops. But seriously no hate on him but his stupid fanbase that apparently wants me to go kill myself is making me want to put them in the hunger games.

Anyway comments make me extremely happy. ^_^
