Lincecum

It hasn’t been more than two weeks since Lily and I moved here. Our spacious apartment at the Infinity Tower, is starting to feel a little bit more like home as the days pass by. Today, we’re going to an art event at the LAB museum. I got dressed in a black Paco Rabbane dress and black heels. I decided to keep my hair simple, as I wasn’t really in the mood to go all crazy with it. Lily was dressed in a simple white dress and my golden necklace. We went downstairs and headed to the parking garage where my white Mercedes Benz G Wagon was parked. I got into the driver’s seat and drove to the LAB where the event was taking place. We left the car with the valet and made our way inside to one of the showrooms. We said hello to some of our friends there and caught up with them. About an hour later, I started getting bored with Lily’s conversation with an old friend from England, as they were reminiscing old adventures the two had passed when they there. I was literally about to fall asleep when I spotted a friend I had met through Barry Zito & his wife, Amber Seyer at a gala a couple of months before.

‘Excuse me girls.’ I said before leaving the two of them and walked towards my friend. ‘You know, I’m actually starting to think you like these sort of events.’ I said standing behind him, making him turn around.
‘Isabella!’ my friend said surprised ‘What makes you think I like these events?’ he asked me confused and still surprised
‘Well, I only see you at these sort of events.’ I answered smiling, making him laugh a little
‘Yeah I love these events.’ Tim Lincecum, the Giants pitcher, said sarcastically making me burst out laughing
‘You know,’ I said ‘I actually do like these events, but this one’s just plain boring.’ I continued with a disgusted look on my face
‘And you know what I hate about the most?’ he asked me, I nodded my head no and waited for his reply ‘There’s no real food! Just tiny bites of weird stuff.’ I opened my mouth in amazement
‘Oh my God, I think the same way! And then you have to go back home and have dinner because no bites were enough to fill your stomach, right?’ I said still not believing what he had just said. We both started laughing at our comments about the food when I spotted Diego, my ex fiancée, walking towards us and I absolutely panicked ‘Timmy, I'm so sorry I have to go now, but if you decide to leave early, I really wouldn't mind a ride back home’ I said jokingly before disappearing from that part of the room.

When I was save, I started looking for Lily, when I finally spotted her she was talking to a random guy and before I reached them, the guy walked away.

‘Hey.’ I said standing right in front of her, where the guy was standing before
‘I thought you were with Tim!’ she said surprised
‘I was, but when we were talking I saw Diego walking towards us and I panicked, so I ran’ I explained making Lily shake her head in disapprovement
‘Yeah, I saw him and I tried to text you, but I forgot my phone at home.’
‘The skills you have.’ I said mockingly when my phone started buzzing from a text
‘Who is it?’ Lily asked trying to take a glance at the screen
‘It’s just a text from Tim.’ I said smiling at the text that read “I can’t handle the tiny bites any more! Still want that ride back home?” I grinned at the phone and before I knew it Lily snatched it out of my hands, after reading the text she squealed and started typing
‘Yes, please!’ she said reading out loud the reply she was writing
‘Lily!’ I said trying to take the phone out of her hands but failed
‘Go and have some fun with Mr. Ace, Isabella.’ she said encouraging
‘Are you absolutely sure?’ I asked
‘Yes!’ she said and read a new text ‘“Meet you at the side door in five. —Tim.” Now go Juliet, go!’ she said handing me back my phone, before giving me the starting push
