There once was a vegetable patch
An enchanted vegetable patch
It belonged to Fiddle Bell
Which she sprinkled with Fairy Dust

Inside that vegetable patch
Lived pumpkins
Corn
Tomatoes
Potatoes
Broccoli
Carrots and
Peas

It’s spring time
And all the vegetables are getting ready to reproduce
All the mommy and daddy vegetable prepare for the arrival
Placing soft green leaves on the ground
So the little buds don’t spoil

It’s coming!
The buds are coming!
There, a baby pumpkin sprouts
Baby corn
Cherry tomatoes
Potato roots
Broccoli buds
Baby carrots
And a pea pod

What’s this in the pea pod?
Two peas?
For the first time in the enchanted garden
Twin peas
Mommy and daddy call them
Two peas in a pod

Harvest season soon approaches
The baby vegetables are now grown
And the mommy and daddy vegetables are harvested
Leaving the new adult vegetables to mature longer
The next spring starts the cycle again
And again the peas have twins
And thereon the peas always have twins
Two peas in a pod
