‹ Prequel: Angel of Mine

Angels and Hunters.

All that's done is forgiven

Cas sat silently in the corner or the room, watching as the other three slept, the first few rays of morning light barely brought any light to the dingy room at all but he still found himself happy to see them because it meant the others would be awake soon.

His ears pricked up as some one in the room began to move, he flopped back in to the chair and closed his eyes faking sleep so he could see what was going on, he heard a quiet kiss closely followed by the movement of denim, he listened intently to the footsteps walking across the room the door clicking open and the quietly shutting again. He sat up and looked around trying to make out the shapes of the two remaining people, Sam was still sleeping peacefully as was Dean, The angel rushed out of the door to see his daughter walking away,

"You should stay!" He called out in to the cool air, she stopped and turned slowly to face him, "Your leg, you still need to rest" She remained still as he began to walk towards her, he leant on the railing of the balcony next to her staring out at the inky black line, the very last remnants of the night before, "I understand why you're angry, I know how it feels to be abandoned, I didn't want that for you but I had no choice it wasn't safe at least here I could still come and see you I could check up on you I could make sure you were always happy and content and I could see that you were, at least up until now, this is the life you want, its hard and dangerous and you can do so much better"

he pleaded with her tears blurring his vision, he turned to face her as she begin to speak

"This is what i want....dad....I want to hunt, I want to fight and I'm big enough to look after myself, but thanks"

"Wait!"

He cried out as she began to walk away a sudden idea springing to his mind, He grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him.

He woke up to see castiels big eyes staring at him, he jumped slightly before sitting up and rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands,

"What time is it?"

He asked groggily

"4:14 am"

"Oh god"

He lay back down pulling the garish floral duvet over his head,

"Dean? I have an idea!"

"Caaaas! can't this wait until the morning?"

"It is morning!"

The angel replied confused, the human under the duvet sighed loudly and pushed him self back up,

"What Cas? what is it?"

"Adriel"

"Yeah, what about her?"

"She can hunt...with us?"

Dean rolled his eyes before snapping

"I'm not having this conversation now we can discuss this later on"

"Dean please she wants to leave and hunt solo but she will be safer with us!"

"Fine"

He growled before rolling over.

The angels sat together in the corner of the room watching as teh brothers slept quietly talking to each other,

"So how did you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Sleep?"

She looked at her father, his face had the curiosity of a small child she smiled at him warmly

"I don't"

"What?"

"I just pretend, it gives me a chance to think things over in peace, I kinda like it"

He smiled at her placing his hand on hers, his heart swelling with a love that he had never experienced before, he had never felt this amount of overwhelming happiness until now, until he was looking in to the eyes of the life that he had created.
