Breakable

The next morning James’ mom cooked us a huge and very delicious breakfast. James hasn’t said a word to me since last night and I was beginning to get worried. After breakfast I head up to the guest room and see James sitting on the bed. I walk in and start packing my small overnight bag.

“I wanted to apologize about last night I honestly didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable.” James says, taking my hand stopping me from packing.

“It’s okay I’m sorry I made you think I didn’t like the kiss, but I was just shocked.” I say truthfully.

“I understand, but I’m really not sorry that I kissed you Micha.” James says and pulls me over to him and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smile and wrap my arms around his neck, and once again I can feel the sadness leave my body.

“Oh, don’t mind me love birds, just going to knock some of the laundry bits.” James’ mom says walking in. James and I starting laughing and I go back to packing.

“James before you and the gang leave can you pick up some of your father’s suits from the tailors?” James’ mom asks looking over at us.

“Sure, mum anything else that you need?” James asks.

“Oh no to be honest, I could have taken his pants up, but I honestly didn’t feel like it.” His mom says laughing.

After a short chat I go with James to pick up his father’s suits from the tailors. What I notice the most is that James hasn’t let go of my hand since we left, but I don’t mind it made me feel calm and whole. We decided after we would grab some lunch and jut rewind before hitting the road.

“Oh god…” James says and all of a sudden stops in right before we get to the door to the pub.

Just then I see a very attractive brunette walking down the street with her arms attached to a muscled up tall, dark and handsome tool.

“What’s wrong James?” I ask trying to get his attention. I had a feeling that this was his ex girlfriend

“I’m not feeling so hungry anymore, let’s go back to my mum’s.” He says trying to pull my hand.

“James you have to face her you will feel so free once you do.” I say trying to calm him down.

“Oh my god James is that you? It’s been far too long.” The pretty brunette says walking towards us. I hear James mumble “Not long enough” under his breath. I am going to make James forget about this bitch.

“Yeah, hi Brandy.” James says uncomfortably. Brandy immediately starts looking me over.

“Oh, is this your new girlfriend?” She asks, staring at me more intently. Two could play this game, I decide to give her a look over.

“Um, actually-

“Actually, I’m his fiancé he purposed last weekend,” I say taking my hand away from his and hooking my arm around his. The look on her face made me absolutely want to laugh out loud.

“Well congrats, didn’t know you were into yanks James.” She says looking over at him

“Well, you can’t choose who you fall in love with, but you can choose who you fall out of love with see you around Brandy.” James says turning us around and walking back to his mother’s house. I look up at James, who has a smirk on his face.

“You’re right, I do, feel free and apparently I got a fiancé now.” He says smiling looking over at me.

“Yeah, about that I’m sorry I just wanted to make her feel stupid, but I hope I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable.

“No, not at all I’m glad you did what you did, but I think it’s only fair that I ask you out to dinner first before I propose.” James says laughing. I couldn’t help but smile, but that’s James is always making me feel wanted and happy.

“So are you going to be asking me out anytime in the future,” I ask curiously

“At the next venue I want to take you somewhere is that ok.” He says as we reach his mother’s house to see everyone outside giving last hugs goodbye.

“Danny those snacks are for all of us you asshole!” I hear Ben yell at Danny as I see him munching on a bunch of food.

I hear Danny yell fuck you back as he gets on the bus. I walk up the steps to have James’ mom wrap me in a big hug.

“Now don’t you go being a stranger now, dear, you are welcome here anytime and I sincerely mean that.” She says into my ear.

“You guys are good for each other I see a lot of pain and sadness in your eyes dear, James will help you learn to love yourself again.” She continues to say holding me tight.

I couldn’t help but cry this woman has only known me for a day and has seen all my dark little secrets.

“Thank you for everything.” I say letting her go and wiping my eyes.

“You are welcome dear, be safe.” She says as she gives her son a motherly hug.

“Can we please leave now, I love James’ Mum to death, but Danny is going to eat all the fuckin snacks!” Ben yells.

“Benjamin you watch your language, and for the record, I put snacks in everyone’s bags there is plenty of food for the lot of you boys.” James’ mom says laughing.
We all wave goodbye and run onto the bus. James and I sit on the sofa and I lean on his shoulder.

“Your mom is a wonderful person.” I say closing my eyes as he plays with my hair,

“Yeah, I know she is and not to mention she absolutely adores you.” James says. I smile and snuggle into his chest.

I have good feelings about James and I in the future, and I can’t wait for our date
