Everywhere is Fire

My parents.
Rejoice filled my body and I ran to them. Lots of tears were shed, and we went back home. Things began to settle.

I'd been crying so hard when I got back home. The only thing I could think about was Rikki.

At about 8:30, mom came in. "Honey, where's Rikki? I told her mom what you told me. But...Where's Rikki?"

I burst out crying. I told her everything about Rikki, and I could see tears out of my moms eyes.

When she left my room, I'd fallen apart. My life seemed so meaningless now.

Now this seems like something that never happens. Do 12 year olds think about suicide everyday?

Well that happened to me.

Still, I had a feeling. I had a feeling that the war between the men and me wasn't over.

I had a feeling they'd come back for me.
