It's As If You Never Needed Me At All

Chapter two.

Regardless of the fact that University started in September in England, and it was January in New Zealand, I was boarding my flight today. Saying goodbye to my little brothers and Amelia before customs was harder than I thought it was going to be, and you could tell that everyone thought I was a madwoman when they took a glance at my mascara streaked face. It also probably wouldn't have helped that I was wearing sweatpants and a band t-shirt, but hey! It's a 27 hour flight! I wanna be comfortable.

I went quickly into the bathroom to clean myself up a little, and then stepped outside to the foodcourt. There was literally no vegetarian food here, so I ended up just buying a coke. While I was grumbling under my breath about how backwards it seems this country is sometimes, I felt someone bump me on my shoulder, causing me to spill coke down my front.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I loathed whoever it was that just made my day a million times worse. I vowed to end him. That may have been because I was in a bad mood to begin with. He was wearing a black shirt with dark blue skin tight skinny jeans, and had shaggy brown hair with tattoos covering every visible part of his skin. Just as I was about to shout profanities at him in the middle of the airport, he turned and I looked straight into the piercing hazel eyes that peered into my brown ones.

"Fuck 'm so sorry love!" he rushed back to my side. His British accent stuck out next to all of the Kiwi ones around us.

"Oh, no it's okay...it's fine really...it was just an accident." Oh god. Oh my dear god. Holy fuck..

If I wasn't in such a shitty mood, I would've probably screamed, wrapped my arms around his neck for a hug and asked him to sign absolutely everything in my carry on bag. However, I was currently soaking in cold fizzy liquid, so I don't think he would've totally appreciated that. So i just stood there, basking in the fact that Oliver Sykes..the Oli Sykes...had just bumped me and spilt coke down my front, onto the Bring Me the Horizon t-shirt that I had been wearing that day.

"No, no you're soaked with cola and I'm afraid that I might've ruined your shirt..hey that's my bands shirt! That's so fucking cool! Weird, but cool..c'mon let me buy you a shirt from a souvenir shop or something. It's the least I can do for making you spill your drink. I'll buy you a new one of those too."

I just stood there, I couldn't even string a sentence together in my head, let alone speak it out into the universe.

"Uh..mmmm..okay..." God was I really stuttering? I was really stuttering wasn't I.

Oliver looked at me with laughter in his eyes, "I'm Oliver, Oliver Sykes, but by the way that you're looking at me right now, I can tell that you already know that."

I fought back that blush that was creeping onto my cheeks, "Oh so the stories I've read online are true, you are quite full of yourself."
Wait, what the fuck just came out of my mouth. I didn't just insult him, did I?

Oliver chuckled, "What's your name, love?"

"Meagan, Meagan Rose." I said it, deliberately imitating the way that Oliver had introduced himself.

"Well, shall we go and find you a new shirt?" Oliver smirked as he linked his arm with mine, leading me to the nearest shop.

I ended up choosing a black shirt, with a little white sheep on the front. It was probably the most acceptable thing that I could actually wear in public. We went up to the counter to pay for the shirt, two cokes and some lollies.

"So, where are you heading today, love?" Oliver asked, nonchalantly.

"I'm heading to LA, but I'm only stopping over on the way to Manchester Airport. Whereabouts are you headed?" I asked, curiously, knowing full well that he lived somewhere in England, I just couldn't remember where.

"Looks like we're going to be on the same flight." He said with a smirk.

I looked up to the roof of the airport, thanking whatever entity that had effectively planned this incredible day for me, and hoping that they would continue to include Oli in my daily plans.

"Sweet as! Where's the rest of your band?" I replied.

"They all left a week ago, straight after the show. I just wanted to chill in New Zealand for a little longer, it's a beautiful place." He said, sounding genuinely entranced.

I guess it is a beautiful country, but if you grow up in it, it's quite boring. No good bands ever come to the bottom of the world frequently, generally having about a four year gap in between tours here. Plus, you always get shit from any Australians that you meet. Not that we don't give it back.

*Boarding call for flight NZ73 to LAX with Air New Zealand. Please make your way to gate two as your flight is now boarding*

"Well, looks like that's us. It was really nice to meet you, Oli. Thank you for the shirt, and the coke." I was genuinely surprised that he'd actually given a shit about me, maybe it was because I was wearing his bands t-shirt.

"No problem, anything for a pretty damsel in distress, especially since I was the one that put her there." He chuckled lightly.

We separated and boarded the plane, which we were on opposite ends of. I settled myself in, creating a little nest by my window seat, and closed my eyes. This was going to be a long flight.

BAM another update. This one is a little disjointed. I'm not so good at dialogue apparently.

Now, I have a question! Do I make it super dooper uber dramatic and completely take it to the next level of drama, or do I just do a normal fanfic where they fall in love and then he cheats, and then they continue their separate ways until they find each other again?

Guess which one I'm keen for.

But seriously, I need your help. Would you like a normal fic, or action packed?

Thank you for reading lovelies!
