The Boys, the Girls

Santa Carla, California - The Cave - 1:07AM

Carmen opened her eye to find a stone ceiling above her head that she knew wasn’t the one of her bedroom. “Carmen?”

Carmen blinked a few times before turning to face the voice that had spoken her name. Sitting at her side was her sister, but it wasn’t really her sister. She was different. Her hair was glossy and tame, something that she could only achieve after a long, strenuous hour of applying product, blow drying, and brushing her hair. After which, its tameness would only last a few hours in the Santa Carla heat and humidity. Her skin was matte-er, as opposed to its slight oily appearance most of the time, and it also had less of a flush, something that had always made up for its soft sheen.

“What did you do, Kimberly?” Carmen whispered so softly it was barely audible to her recently advance hearing.

“What do you mean?” her sister asked confused.

“Kimberly,” the voice Carmen did not, did not, did not want to hear right then, called. “I need to talk to your sister,” Kimberly raised an eyebrow in confusion, “in private.”

Kimberly looked to her older sister expecting to see the look she always got when someone Carmen didn’t want to talk to asked to talk to her, the look that silently begged her to get her out of having the conversation. Kimberly was surprised, and slightly hurt, that the expression wasn’t there. Carmen just tried to glare at where the voice was coming from.

Kimberly stood from her seat, and walked off. “Sure,” she muttered softly as she walked past David.

“Vampires,” the platinum blonde stated darkly.

“What?” Carmen snapped.

“Before you passed out,” he explained, his tone cold, guarded. “You asked what we were.”

“And Kimberly’s one now?” Carmen clenched her fists to keep from screaming in anger.

“And so are you, Carmen,” David told her.

Carmen raised an eyebrow in question, “Excuse me?”

“Half,” he told her.

Before she could stop herself, Carmen blurted, “How does that work?”

Her gaze holding, speech stopping, hypnotizing green eyes watched as a small sense of relief relaxed David, “The wine you drank the other night, when you were here,” he began, “That was my blood.” He told her.

Carmen’s face was flat, expressionless. Her brain was in a tizzy, caught between being grossed out and furious. “YOU TRICKED ME INTO DRINKING YOUR BLOOD!” Her mind settled on furious.

“Come on, Carmen,” David snapped, his guard back up. “The people in this world would kill for immortality.”

“I’m not one of those people,” Carmen spat, standing.

David forcefully took her face in one of his hands, something, in any other situation, Carmen was pretty sure would make her horny. Yet, the situation was a strange one, and her fury overpowered her secret desire of the back breaking, toe-curling, mind-numbingly amazing sex that she had no doubt came with being David’s girl. He leaned into her ear that wasn’t being blocked by his hand, “You’ll never grow old,” he whispered huskily, “You’ll never die.” She blinked, trying to fight the daze that was trying to take over her mind. He brought his face back into her view, “But you must feed!” he snapped at her, in an order.

She let her dark green gaze meet his harsh icy blue one, their anger was nearly matched. “Never,” Carmen hissed at him, and then wrenched her face from his grasp. With that, she stormed towards the exit of the cave.

“Carmen, wait!” Carmen was at the edge of the exit when Kimberly caught up with her.

“What?”

“I want your opinion on something,” Kimberly began. She met her sister’s dark green eyes with her lighter, greyer green ones that held a questioning gaze. Carmen nodded stiffly, telling her to go on. “I…I was thinking about giving Marko the key.” Carmen raised an eyebrow, “I- I wanted to know what you thought?” Why was Carmen being so cold to her? Kimberly wondered. Have I done something wrong?

“You’re going to be stuck with him for eternity Kimberly,” Carmen deadpanned coldly, “You better be god damned sure you mean it.”

Kimberly furrowed her brows sadly at her sister, “Why are you being so cold towards me?” she asked softly, tears beginning to stream down her face. She of all people should know how important this is to me! Kimberly thought angrily. “You’re my sister!” Kimberly screeched through her tears, “You, of all people, should know how important this is to me!”

Carmen turned away from the girl who used to be her sister’s tear streaked face so her back was to her. “No I’m not,” she replied in a level of volume that was just above a whisper, but was below a normal tone of voice. “We stopped being sisters the moment you made that kill and turned into a monster.”

“B-but Carmen!” Kimberly cried as her sister walked towards the exit of the cave.

“You step out of this cave, Carmen, and you can never come back!” David’s voice boomed through the cave from behind them.

“That won’t be a problem,” Carmen sneered, and took the steps that were needed to be outside of the cave. She took a deep breath, and began the long walk back to her house, not once looking behind her.

Sorry it's been so long guys! I've been swamped with finals, and preparations for Christmas, and Christmas itself.

On that note, I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and I hope this New Year is kind to you.

Unfortunately, this is the last chapter of part 1 :( Notice I wrote Part 1, though. I will be adding more to this story, but only once I have more then 1 chapter of Part 2 written. I like to be few chapters into a story before I post, so I know I'm not going to stop writing after the first one.

So, yeah, Carmen's very against turning into a full vamp. I plan on putting Carmen into the movie and giving Paul a girl, so that's going to be Part 2, and if i can get to it, Part 3 I plan on bringing in the Winchesters from CW's Supernatural and it'll probably take place in a much bigger city than Santa Carla.

Let me know what you think of this chapter and the plans I have for the story. If you don't know what Supernatural is, you should find out. It's an awesome show. The fandom's a bit psycho though, so beware.

Thanks for reading!!! Don't forget to comment, recommend, and subscribe ;)
