In the End We're Gonna Be Just Fine

She was round, again, like she always was.

Vic had been seeing Chelsea for 5 months, 12 days and 11 hours now. Kellin knew this, he'd counted. Every agonizing second he was forced to be around that woman made his stomach clench in a way that was by no means pleasurable, so he had to keep his mind preoccupied somehow. He counted every minute. Every second in that minute until he was asked some illiterate question regarding something on TV or a movie Vic had asked him to watch with them. When they first started dating, alot of people were, well, shocked. I doubt anyone thought she was someone Vic, sweet innocent Vic would go for. She looked like a Playboy model; all inflatable boobs and teeth as blinding as the sun itself. It was impossible for Kellin to actually tell what her skin colouring was genuinely like because of the inch of orange she plastered on her face. The amount of times Kellin had to unclog synthetic hair from their shower was quite disgusting, seeing as she seemed incapable of doing anything for herself. She was the type of woman that was sickly sweet, too. Her dark eyelashes and rouge lipstick left strains everywhere but mostly on Vic's shirts that he was then asked to wash because he was so great at removing stains. And of course, Kellin would do that for Vic. He'd literally do anything to help him out.

He just wished the boy had chosen better. He was such a brilliant and insightful human being, if you engaged him in the right conversation. I think that's why he and Vic just clicked. They could talk for hours about most stupid things but make it sound like they were discussing an important world issue.. I guess that's what the importance of harmony does to you. Regardless of that though, Kellin couldn't deny the fact that he enjoyed spending every moment of every day with the elder. He'd become accustomed to waking up to the sound of glass breaking or something else smashing and a weak 'Sorry if I woke you' coming from the kitchen at 9am every morning. When neither of the were touring, he became use to them spending all day listening to music or going shopping. Just spending their lives together because they were best friends and that's what best friends do.

But for 5 months, 12 days and 11 hours, he's been lacking exactly that.

Now, Kellin can admit that he was in awe of Vic before he knew him. Their fans had constantly tweeted him about Pierce The Veil and their music so he checked them out, and instantly fell in love. The fact that they were able to record a song together, become best friends in the process and move in together was simply a bonus. Vic was a wonderful human being but what he'd realized was that Vic was just a normal guy that just so happened to make music in a band he liked. That was all. He did, however, notice that as well as being amazingly gifted, he was a genuinely lovely man to be around. He'd grown to realize that Vic was possibly one of the most amazing people he had ever met and to lie about this would be an outrage. He'd also be lying if he said that he hadn't fallen for the boy the tiniest bit.

I guess that's why he found this entire situation so hard to accept. For as long as he'd known him, Vic had always been Kellin's and Kellin's alone. He's never had to share him in such a huge way before and honestly, it scared him. He'd become ratty and stopped acting like his usual, sarcastic ridden self. Vic must have noticed, because on numerous occasions he'd asked him if he was alright and was always faced with the same answer, I'm fine. He was just far too afraid of losing the one rock in his life to some girl he'd met only 5 short months ago. He wasn't prepared to let him go, not yet.

About 3 hours ago the instant whore decided to barge in during a Dexter Marathon Kellin was having with Vic and declare that she needed Vic right at the precise moment. Vic couldn't help but shrug and follow her to his room. Kellin couldn't help but sulk. Chelsea had stayed the night at theirs for 3 days now and he just wanted her gone. She'd popped out earlier to see one of her friends or something, leaving the two boys to actually spend some time together. It was really nice, until she ruined it. He kinda wanted to cry. Kellin just didn't understand. All the girl ever did was giggle ridiculously and tell Vic that his TV shows were stupid. Who did she think she was? She watches Desperate Housewives for fucksakes. Nevertheless, Vic saw something in her. The sooner he saw the ugly gremlin on the outside, the sooner Kellin had Vic all to himself once more. It was selfish, but it wasn't right. This relationship, it was abnormal and needed to end. Vic deserved much, much better.

Kellin heard three loud knocks in the middle of Citizens Erased by Muse that weren't usually there. Turning down his stereo slightly, he realized it was his door. He gave permission to come it.

"Hey Kells!" came an annoying chirp as the clutter of slut walked into his bedroom. Why was she here? What did she want?

"Hi Chels," came his reply, crudely mimicking her awful accent. She didn't seem to notice, "What's up?" She smiled widely, plunking down next to Kellin on his bed. He cringed as she giggled as the springs prepelled her back up.

"So!" she smacked her hand down of Kellin's knee with a grin, "I need your opinion on something!" Again, he grimaced at her hand touching him but remembered that animal abuse was wrong and he had to stay civil to her for Vic. He nodded.

"Shoot." he forced a smile. He was met with a confused glance. With a sigh, he further explained himself. "I mean, go on."

"Okaay! I went and saw my friend Shelly today because I haven't really been feeling that well recently. So, she ran some tests and by tests I mean she sold me a pregnancy test and well, turns out it was positive! I'm having a baby! How cute, right? Anyway-"

"What?"

She carried on. "I'm having a baby! Vic's baby! Isn't it great? We'll be one massive family!"

".. Does Vic know?" was the only question.

"No, silly! You're the first person I told. I wanted your opinion on how I could possibly tell him?" she asked, though her words were simply empty noises now. "Kellin?" she questioned once more, voice laced with false concern.

"Get out."

"..What?"

"I said," he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "Get out. Of my room, better yet, my house. Right. Now."

"Kellin, I-"

"GET OUT." he snapped, and passed out on his bed.

_______
"..Kellin?" the younger boy opened his eyes slowly, glancing at the time on his alarm and then at his bedroom door. It was dark out and his clock read 7:30pm so he'd been out for a good few hours already. The sudden realization of the events previous and the silloette currently stood in the light of his door shook him awake completely. His light switched on. He was met with his friend, his best friend Vic. He expected him to look angry, but he wasn't. If anything he looked slightly concerned and Kellin wondered if he even knew what happened. "Kells, Chelsea told me what happened." Well then, that clears things up.

"She did, did she?" he replied, looking down at his hands, unable to meet Vic's gaze. The elder man looked down at Kellin, his best friend in the entire world. The only one that truly understood him. He was slowly beginning to realize why he'd been acting this way.

"I'm going to be a Dad."

"I know."

There was a long pause.

"You're in love with me, aren't you?" Kellin wasn't surprised in the slightest. He just nodded.

"Yeah."

"You know I'm not gay, Kells. "

"I know, it's just, hard you know? I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything.." he trailed off, Vic hit Kellin's shoulder playfully.

"I'm not uncomfortable with you Kellin," He smiled, but carried on, his tone more serious now, "But.. I love Chelsea. I've never felt this way about anyone ever before, you've got to respect that. I know you don't like her, but she's everything to me. I know people don't get it, and I don't want to sound like a teenage girl but there's no one in this world I'd rather have children with.. but just because of that, doesn't mean you're not my best friend anymore. I still love you. Granted, I'm not in love with you, but you still mean a hell of a lot to me."

and that was all it took to break little Kellin Quinn's heart.
