Exposed

Strange, not ugly, just strange

Amy paid the cabdriver and handed one of her bags to Layla.

"You look very fancy." Layla smiled.

"Well, I am not that fancy, if you want to know." Amy smiled.

Layla looked fair enough.
She had brown curls down to her bum and big brown eyes.
She remined Amy a bit of a puppy.

"What do you want for diner?" Layla asked as they dragged the bags upstairs.

"I haven't really given it many thought…" Amy confessed.

"Doesn't matter, we'll just get some asian food or so, there's a take away around the cornor." Layla smiled friendly.

"Great." Amy nodded.

She quite liked Layla, she was not to pushy and came trough friendly.
"Is there anywhere here where you can meet people?" Amy asked.
"You mean like, boyfriends?" Layla asked.
"No, not exactly, I want to put a band together you see…" she started as Layla broke her off.
"A band! that's brilliant! Can I help you out in anyway?"
"Do you play an instrument?" Amy asked a bit overwhelmed.
"I play drums!" she said louder than Amy expected.
"Great, you're in." she smiled shaking the other girls hand.
"What do you play?" Layla asked.
"I can sing quite well." she said.
"Let's hear it!" Layla jumped up and down.
"O gosh, calm down, later oke?" Amy said.
"Alright, I'll keep you to that!" Layla said.
"Do you know where I can find others?" Amy went on.
"There is a club down town where you might find someone. But watch yourself in there, it's a gloomy place. In fact I will go with you."

The club was lit with a strange purple light that threw a spooky mist over the people.
Some had glowing eyes, contacts, Amy assumed.
"Do you know any people here?"
"Yes…" Layla said. "And I think we can find you a guitarist here."
"You know one for me?" Amy asked as Layla dragged her through the crowd.
A hooded gloomy shadow stood by himself by the wall, he looked up as Layla approached.
"What can I do for you today, Layla?" he asked.
"Not today hunny." Layla said.
Amy couldn't help but wonder what he usually 'did' for her, but she didn't dare to ask.
"Whatssup then?"
"I brought my friend here, and we want to ask you…"
"…if you'd be my guitarist." Amy said.
"A band uh?" the boy asked.
"Yes." Amy said.
"You're British uh?" he went on.
He looked at her from under his hood.
His angeled blue eyes seemed to pierce through her.
His blond hair fell in front of his face as he did so.
"Yes" she said again, a bit dazzeled by his strange appearance, not ugly, just strange.
"Me too, nice meeting you. I'm Alec."
"Hi, I'm Amy, nice to meet you too." she smiled shaking his hand.
"I think I would like to try out your offer, when will we meet again?"
"As soon as we have a bassist." Amy said.
"I Think I know a guy, if you don't mind an attitude…" he said.
"That would be very helpful, can you give him my number?" she said handing him a paper.
"Sure." he shrugged.
"Then I'll see you soon." she smiled.
Amy had her band, now she only needed songs to prform.
