They nicknamed her Bambi because she had these big doe eyes that reminded them of childhood innocence, that reminded them there is still hope in the face of adversary, because she was sweet and quiet. She didn’t really mind the nickname, she always knew from a young age that she was different, that she was strange. Bambi would talk to shadows and things that other people couldn’t see.

Bambi never stopped believing, from a young age she knew fairies danced across her nose when she slept, she knew that dragons guarded princesses in their castles waiting for their perfect prince and she knew even now that ghosts walk the earth. Bambi never stopped believing and maybe that was for the best.

No one is really sure of Bambi’s real name, the nickname has been around for so long and no has bothered to get to know it because Bambi is strange and no one likes strange little girls. Well no one until now.
