Roomies

I watched Kim paint Alex's toe nails and it was hilarious, he looked so unamused the entire time. Kim let him paint her toe nails after and he got it all over her foot, guess thats his version of revenge. All night we just hung out and talked and it was so fun, at around midnight we all headed to bed.

"So Alex" Kim said

"What about him?" i asked as we got into my bed

"He seems like a nice kid" she said

"Mhm" i said eyeing her

"Do you love him?" she asked abruptly

"Oh god" i groaned laughing

"Come on i seriously wanna know!" she said

"Ugh i dont know, maybe...yes...i dont know!" i said

"I think you need to tap that before someone else does" she said

"Ew! why are you so vulgar?!" i laughed

"Its just how i am" she said shrugging

"Oh my god" i said rolling my eyes

We watched tv until we fell asleep, which happened to be quick since we were so tired. The next morning i woke up to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and Kim was hovering over me.

"Good morning sunshine!" she said

"What time is it?" i asked

"7:30, i went downstairs and your mom asked me to wake you and Gaskarth" she said

"For real?, why?" i asked

"Breakfast!" she said

"Fine" i said getting up

We went over to the guest room and i was about to knock when Kim decided to just barge in. I looked at her in disbelief.

"What?, when its your house you dont need to knock on doors. Unless its the bathroom" she said

"I guess" i said

"Look at him. Is he naked?" she said, he was sleeping shirtless and the blanket was covering him from the waist down

"I highly doubt it" i said

"Hmm" she said

"Here i'll wake him" i said

"No no i got this" she said and went over to the bed

"Be nice" i said and she rolled her eyes

"Gaskarth wake the fuck up!" Kim yelled at Alex

"What?!. Fuck, Kim you scared the hell out of me!" he said holding his chest

"Time for breakfast!" she said excited

"Okay and was the near heart attack necessary?" he asked

"Yes!, now get up!" she said

"Okay" he said

"Wait! your not naked right?" she asked

"No!, of course not!" he said

"Good, throw on a shirt and meet me downstairs" she said skipping out of the room

"Is she always like this?" Alex asked me while getting out of bed

"Sometimes, shes a morning person" i said as he went to his bag and grabbed a shirt and threw it on

"All decent, lets go before Kim returns" he said and we went downstairs

We had breakfast with my family and it was nice, i miss sitting down and enjoying a nice plate of pancakes with conversation. While we were eating my mom started talking to me.

"So whats the plan for today?" she asked me

"Uhm i dont know" i said

"Well i have a idea Alex might be interested in" my brother Sam said

"And what might that be?" i asked

"Baseball!. Me and a bunch of the guys are getting together for a game like we used to and the usual girls will be there for you and Kim to hangout with. Could be a fun group outing" he said, Sam and his friends used to do baseball games weekly and me and the other guys sisters used to tag along

"Yes!. Do you like baseball?" i asked Alex

"Im more of a football kind of guy but im down for any kind of sports game!. Im in" Alex said

"Were in to" i said and Kim nodded

"Awesome!" Sam said

"You better be careful, all of you. Sam keep these three safe and out of trouble" my mom said and Sam nodded

Later on we all left to go meet up with my brothers friends at the baseball field. When we got there six of his friends were there along with a few girls i knew well, they were sisters of Sams friends. We got out of the car and walked over and i could see them eyeing Alex.

"Hey Sam, hey Kim and Lila. Who's the guy?" Sams friend Corey asked

"This is Alex hes Lilas roommate in college. Alex this is Corey, Evan, Kevin, Mike, Steve and Tyler. Then we have Anna who is Coreys sister, Hadlee who is Steves sister and Kat who is Tylers sister" Sam said introducing everyone to each other

"Are you good at baseball?" Corey asked Alex

"Im good. Better at football, but i can still kick ass when it comes to baseball" Alex said

"Okay because were very competitive. We will not take it easy on you" Corey said

"Fine with me, im competitive as well so this is great" Alex said

"Good" Corey said walking away with the guys following him

"This should be interesting" i said as Sam patted Alex on the back and they followed everyone else

"Yes this should be, kick his ass Gaskarth!" Kim said and then yelled to Alex

"Of course i will" Alex said not turning to look at her and he gave a thumbs up

All us girls sat on the bleachers to watch, i was nervous because the guys are known to tackle each other on the bases even though im pretty sure thats against the rules. While watching Kim started yelling.

"Strike him out Gaskarth!" she yelled

"Hey Kimmy dear, keep it down will ya?" Corey yelled

"Eat me" she yelled back

"So hows school?" Anna asked me

"Good, hows medical school going. Seen any dead bodies yet?" i asked

"Not yet" she said

"Good, i dont know how you decided that medical school was for you. Im to hypochondriac to handle that" i said

"I dont know i just find the human body interesting" she said

"I considered medical school once. But then i realized that if seeing my period blood was enough to make me queasy then saving lives isnt for me" Kim said

"Hey ladies!" i heard someone yell and i looked over and saw Sams girlfriend Chelsea walk up the bleachers

"Hey!" i said and got up to hug her

"Your brother mentioned your roommate was coming home with you and that he was a guy, i had to come see this" Chelsea said

"Mhm, hes right there arguing with Tyler" i said

"Hes a look for sure" she said

"I guess" i said

"So none of you ladies wanted to play?" she asked

"Im about to join if Gaskarth doesnt get his shit together!" Kim yelled

"For fucks sake Kim I've got this!" Alex yelled and Steve got a strike while Alex wasnt paying attention to the pitch

"Hes fucking hopeless" Kim said shaking her head

"Anyways, Lila i love what you've done with your hair!" Chelsea said, i had cut my hair before i left for school and she didnt get to see it

"Thanks, it feels so much lighter" i said running my fingers through it

"I bet, ive been thinking about getting a angled bob" she said

"Dont!, your hair is so long and full. Im slightly jealous" i said

"Man down!. We got a bleeder!" Kevin yelled and i looked over and Alex was lying on his back

"What'd you do to the poor kid?!" Anna said as we all made our way towards them

"Tripped him" Kevin said innocent

"Any pain Gaskarth?" Kim asked Alex

"My name is Alex will you-...yes theres pain Kim" Alex spat at her and then calmed himself and Sam pulled him into a sitting position and blood started running down his face and Sam walked over to the bench

"Oh fuck this" Kim said and walked away

"You probably broke his nose, good going" i said handing Alex a tissue from the pack i keep in my purse

"Alex im honestly so sorry, that was a complete accident" Kevin said

"Its fine dude, i dont think its broken it doesnt feel out of place" Alex said

"Let me see" i said and pressed on the bridge of his nose

"Ow" Alex said wincing

"Sorry, but you right it does seem to still be in place. Your already forming some nice bruises though" i said

"Yay" he said sarcastic

"Here move the tissue" Sam said coming back and he kneeled in front of Alex

"Thank god we have water and towels" Tyler laughed lightly as Sam poured some water down Alexs face and gently wiped around his nose before grabbing some ice in a towel and pressed it to Alexs face

"Keep pressure" Sam said and Alex gave a thumbs up

"Wow, well arnt you a cute little nurse" Kat joked

"Well he was basically my responsibility. My parents are going to kill me" Sam said

"Yup" i said

"Am i going to need to go to the hospital?" Alex asked

"Nah man you'll be okay" Sam said

"Good, i hate hospitals" Alex said

"Dont we all. We should probably just head home, i think you need to just take it easy for the rest of the day" Sam said

"Sounds good to me" Alex said

"Help me get him to my car?" Sam asked Tyler and they got Alex to his feet

Me, Kim and Sam left the game to take Alex back to the house, Sam felt guilty even though it wasnt his fault and decided to treat the three of us to ice cream. After we ate we headed home, as soon as we walked into the livingroom my parents looked at us and my mom gasped.

"What happened!?" my mom said running up to Alex

"Kevin tripped him and he fell on his face" Sam said going over to sit next to my dad

"Oh my god!. We have him here for a day and you guys have managed to injure him!" she said

"Well i mean it was a accident" i said sitting down

"I dont care!" she said and me and Sam looked at eachother guilty

"Alex are you in any serious pain?" she asked Alex

"No im okay" Alex said

"Come sit, i wanna examine your nose" she said leading him to the recliner i was sitting in and shooed me away

"Im honestly okay, it doesn't even hurt that much anymore" he said

"Are we sure is isnt broken?" she asked me completely ignoring what Alex was saying

"It doesnt seem to be" i said

"Im gonna check okay?" she asked moving the ice and he nodded and she squeezed the bridge of his nose and he jumped

"Fuck!" he gasped

"Im sorry!, did that hurt?" she asked and he nodded

"See hes clearly still in pain!. Maybe we should take him to the ER" she said

"Amy lets not get ahead of ourselves here. His nose doesnt look crooked and its not bleeding, hes conscious. I really dont think a hospital is needed" my dad said, my mom has a tendency to worry alot and panic over stupid stuff

"Yeah mom dads right, plus there is gonna be pain if you squeeze his damn nose" Sam said

"Mhm, and the ice is really helping" Alex said and my mom nodded

"Alright, can i get you anything?" my mom asked Alex

"No im okay" he said

"Alright well im gonna go start dinner. If he starts to bleed or passes out call me" she said and Sam arched his eyebrow at her

"Okay mom" Sam said laughing and she glared at him before leaving the room

"Its okay Gaskarth, me and Lila will be your own little nurses tonight" Kim said sitting on the arm of the couch

"Kim" my dad said glaring at her before leaving the room

"Look Kim, he wants to heal. Hes not into some kinky shit. Atleast not tonight" Sam said and she smacked his arm and he walked away

"You guys know what i meant!" Kim yelled after them

The rest of the night went smoothly, my mom laid off hovering Alex so that was good. That night Alex, Kim and I were laying on my bed watching a movie when there was a knock on the door. I looked over and my mom walked in.

"Me and dad are heading to bed. The three of you should do the same" she said, Kim was spending the night again

"We will soon" i said

"Okay good. Do you guys need anything?" she asked and i rolled my eyes

"No mom were good. And Alex doesnt need anything either, hes fine" i said and Alex and Kim laughed

"Okay well goodnight you guys" she said and left closing the door behind her

"Your mom is all up Alex's ass tonight" Kim said

"I know!, i swear if the three of us were in trouble right now she'd probably rescue Alex first" i said

"Oh come on you guys, shes just being nice" Alex said

"Shes never been this nice when ive been injured" i said

"I think she wants to adopt you" Kim said and Alex rolled his eyes
