Love, Your Mother

VIII

Jaxon Alexander Baker,

You turned twenty three today, and I have a feeling that I won’t be able to see you turn twenty four. My days are numbered and all I can say is that I have never loved anyone as much as you, your sister and your father. The cancer is spreading, Jaxy. I don’t know what else I’ll be able to do except hope and pray that your father will be okay without me. Please protect them, keep them strong through everything. Know that I love you and I will always love you. I’m sorry I’ve kept these letters a secret from you. I thought that I would live just a tiny bit longer. I just hope that you’re not mad at me, I just wanted you to have something to remember me by. I have a feeling that, I won’t live to see you tomorrow. So know that I love you. Very much.

Be good, Jaxon. I love you.
Your mother.
