Unbreakable

St Patricks Day

Emily was in the back room collecting more beers to refill the fridge behind the bar knowing full well the lads would have drunken every last one by the morning. Without even poking her head round the door she knew the boys had arrived as Doc greeted them with a stuttered filled 'Hey fellas.' "Hey Doc!" they both replied in unison showing off their creepy twin skills once more. Doc was handing the boys their drinks as Emily came walking back behind the bar, box of beers in hand. "There ye are! Was about to send a fuckin' search party for ye" Murphy said whilst leaning over the bar and planting a kiss firmly on Emily's lips. It ended up lasting longer and going deeper then initially intended and was only brought to an end by Doc clearing his throat beside them. Murphy pulled back and sat back on his stool with the grin of a naughty school boy whilst Emily just giggled and shook her head slightly before crouching down and placing beer after beer into the fridge. "So how was your day boys?" Emily asked looking up trying to see over the counter but only managing to see their hair. Before she even got an answer she heard Murphy burst out laughing while Conner muttered for him to 'shut the fuck up.' Once Emily finished filling the fridge she stood up and placed her elbows on the counter and let her head rest in her hand as she raises an eyebrow at them. "Come on, out with it" Murphy just chuckled slightly looking from Emily to Conner before looking back at Emily, deciding it best to let his brother explain for himself. "I got fuckin' kicked in the nuts by a trainee! I was only havin' some innocent fun with the woman as well" he said taking a swig of his guinness. Emily tried keeping a straight face but failed after her eyes met with those of Murphy's. "I said shut the fuck up!" Conner said shoving Murphy but it only made them laugh more. "Well if that was a women I want ta see a birth certificate or somethin'" Murphy said once his laughter subsided. Emily just shook her head still laughing and took an order from a man at the bar and handed him his drink before retaking her position in front of the boys. "Oh Em! Ma phoned, said to say ello once she finished her prank" Murphy said finishing his pint and pushing the glass towards Emily in an indication for a refill. "You fall for them every year! What was it this time?" she asked taking the glass from him and beginning to fill it again. "Suicide" Conner informed her and they all began laughing. Emily handed Murphy his drink and took Conners to refill his. "Then she said the weirdest thing" Conner said glancing at Murphy and it appeared as if they were having a conversation without any words even being involved. "Aye that's right, she did" they both looked at Emily expectantly but they could tell from her expression that she was clueless as to what they were getting at. "Ma said you knew" "Aye, Ma said you've known for a long time" Emily soon clicked and realised they were talking about which twin was older. She grabbed a tray full of drinks from the counter and came out from behind the bar to take the drinks to the table that had ordered them. As she walked past the boys who had turned in their stools to watch her she said "Your Ma was telling the truth for once, but I'd hardly say a year was a long time." With that she carried on walking before the boys could chew her ear off about who in fact was the oldest. After delivering the drinks Emily made her way back to the bar only to be grabbed around the waist and pulled back into someone which she was certain wasn't Murphy or Conner as they had both turned and was talking to Doc in front of her. A small squeal escape her lips which caused Murphy's head to whip round and scan the room for her. When his eyes locked with hers he was laughing which made Emily even more curious as to who had a hold of her waist; she knew Murphy wouldn't just be sitting there if it was a stranger. "Hey Fuck Ass, get me a beer!" Rocco spun Emily round in his arms and embraced her in a big Rocco hug. "Did I scare little Emily?" Rocco asked not even attempting to hide his patronising tone. "Fuck you Rocco!" Emily said whilst pulling away from Rocco and walking behind the bar. The boys greeted each other with 'manly' hugs and back pats before Rocco took a seat in-between the brothers. Emily spent the rest of the evening making drinks, serving them and joking with the lads as they tried to get her to spill the beans on who came out first. Personally she didn't see the big fascination, it was only by a few minutes anyway. But even though she didn't see it as a big deal the brothers certainly did and it was their childish bickering that made her keep the juicy information to herself. By the end of the evening there was only Murphy, Conner, Rocco and about six other guys at the bar, all of them obviously not ready to end the celebrations just yet. Emily was sitting on Murphy's lap listening to Doc inform them all that he had to close the bar. The news really did break Emily's heart; McGinty's was all she had known since moving here, it was the main reason she felt so at home and decided to stay. Murphy could sense Emily's upset which is why he wrapped his arms tighter around her waist. Emily appreciated the gesture, it was just one of the ways he showed how much he knew and cared about her. Suddenly the door banged open grabbing everybody's attention. As all the guys at the bar stood up to face the three large men now standing in the middle of the bar facing them, Murphy subtly took Emily's arm and pulled her behind him and giving it a reassuring squeeze before letting go. "I am Ivan Checkov. You will be closing now" said the largest of the three men whilst taking a step towards them. Murphy laughed slightly before speaking, "Well, now this here's McCoy. If we find ourselves a Spock we've got an away team." Everyone found it funny expect Emily and the men she now realised we're Russian. All Emily wanted to do was tell Murphy to not antagonise them but she knew that wouldn't go down well. "I am in no mood for discussion. You stay," Ivan said whilst pointing at Doc, "The rest of you go now." The guys all glanced at each other but it was Doc who spoke first. "Why don't you make like a tree and get the fuck out of here!" They all turned to look at Doc sighing whereas Emily laughed; she loved his mix and match proverbs. Murphy and Conner both picked up some drinks and offered them to the Russians. "Listen, ya know he's got until the end of the week. You don't have to be hard asses, do ya?" Conner asked before Murphy continued, "Yeah, it's St. Patty's Day. Everybody's Irish tonight. Why don't you pull up a stool and have a drink with us?" This just seemed to piss Ivan off more as he slapped the glasses out of theirs hands. Emily couldn't help but jump at his sudden outburst and the sound of the glass smashing against the floor. "This is no game! If you do not go, we will make you go." It sounded like he was talking through clenched teeth as he spoke, but Emily thought that it could just be his thick accent that she wasn't familiar with. She was fluent in many languages but the accents took a bit of getting used to. Emily was brought back to reality as Connor sighed, "Look, if you're looking for a fight, you can see that you're outnumbered. We're trying ta be civil here so we suggest you take our offer." "I make the offers here, asshole." It was clear that this man wasn't here to make friends in fact he looked liked like he wanted to break something, not make anything. As Rocco started staggering forward, Emily knew it was going to go downhill from here on. "Hey Boris, what if I told you that your pinko, commie mother sucked so much dick that-" Before he could even finish his drunken insult, Ivan had punched him square in the face, felling the Italian. Emily pushed past Murphy and crouched down in front of Rocco against Murphy's best attempts to stop her. She was about to tend to Rocco's bloody nose when she was pulled up roughly by a strong grip on her upper arm. Emily's instinct quickly kicked in and she was already swinging her arm round and back handing Ivan round the face without even realising what she was doing. He quickly released her arm only for it to be grabbed by Murphy as he pulled her behind him and made sure he stood firmly in front of her. When Conner turned to the Russians his expression and tone of voice was now icy. However when he spoke, Emily was taken by surprise to hear him talking in Russian. "теперь, когда было не слишком вежливо было" (Now, that wasn't too polite, was it?)
"Я боюсь, что мы не можем допустить, чтобы идти, Иван" (I'm afraid we can't let that go, Ivan.)
Emily felt her heart leap into her throat; what did they mean by that? The two brothers glanced at each other and came to a silent agreement, showing off their twin telepathy again. Downing a shot of whiskey they both simultaneously knelt down and punch Ivan in the thighs causing him to fall to the ground instantly. From then on chaos erupted in the bar, fists were flying, beer bottles and glasses were smashing, even a fire was started but was put out minutes later. About an hour later the Russians were thrown out and the others had decided to call it a night including Rocco. Emily, the boys and Doc were the only ones left in the bar although Doc looked exhausted after the events the evening consisted of and quickly said his good nights and retreated upstairs. "Em, ye comin' back to ours?" Murphy asked as he rested his head on Emily's shoulder and she nested on his lap once again. It was normal for Emily to go home with the Macmanus brothers partly because she always slept better in Murphy's arms and partly because they would never let her walk home alone. But for some reason Emily didn't feel like spending the night at their place. As much as she loved Murphy and Conner the early morning wake ups we're starting to take their toll on her, especially when she spends all night working at the bar. "Actually I think I'm just gonna stay here tonight," she turned slightly so she could whisper in Murphy's ear, "I think Docs struggling, I'll stay and clean up tonight and set up in the morning and come to yours after?" Murphy pouted playfully before sighing, "Why do you always have to think of other people before yeself, ye're to fuckin' kind" Emily just aw'd and kiss him softly on the lips. She felt Murphy smile into the kiss which caused her to do the same. When the kiss broke they were both smiling as Emily slid off his lap. "You wouldn't love me if I wasn't" Murphy grabbed his heart acting offended by her words. "I'd love ye no matter what babe!" Murphy and Conner both stood up and started putting theirs coats on ready to leave. Conner gave Emily a hug and a kiss on the cheek and wished her goodnight before walking to the door and waiting for his brother and Emily to say goodbye. Emily wrapped her arms around his neck while Murphy wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her as close to him as humanly possible. "Sure I can't tempt ye to come with us?" He was a very persistent guy, especially when it was something he wanted badly. "Goodnight Murph. I'll see you in the morning, just not to early! Love you." They both retracted their arms from around each other before Murphy cupped Emily's face in his hand and kissed her once more. But this kiss was more eager and more passionate then the others which made Emily wonder if it was the fact it was his last one for the night that made him want to treasure it more. When he finally let her lips and face go he turned and walked out the door with Conner. Emily started grabbing left over glasses from the tables when the door opened and Murphy's head popped in again. "Oh I almost forgot, love ye too Em" and with that he was gone, leaving Emily to tidy up the mess of the bar fight before retiring to bed herself.

I don't speak any other languages so I'm not sure if its correct or not, I just wanted to make it more obvious that Emily can speak/understand different languages. I also changed some spelling when Murphy and Conner are speaking to try and make them sound more Irish. Thanks for reading:)
