With Me Tonight

I took a moment to let my eyes and mind get lost in the words on the page, even if I have read this book a ton of times.

I stayed up all last night going through my shelves of books, picking through the genres I had lined up, ending up laying on the floor, reading for hours. Since I don't have to go into work today, I decided to stay home and read.

I was already at least half way through Moby Dick when my phone started going off, scaring me enough that I jumped and dropped the book on my face. I had been holding it up in the air while I laid on my back.

Groaning in pain, I rolled over and searched around blindly for my phone, answering without checking who it was. "Hello?"

"Belle! Hey, it's Sean!"

"Flanery?" I laughed, sitting up while still rubbing my face. "What's up?"

"Nothin too exciting 'cept my flights about to leave and it's no more than 45 minutes to an hour long," his voice was static in the phone.

"Is Norman picking you up?" I asked. Sean was flying here to stay with Norman for the day before they went off again to a weekend long convention a couple hours away. I think Sean is staying until the next weekend, too, since they have another con then.

"Yeah, reedustien's not pickin up his phone either," he chuckled.

"He must be asleep, I think he had some interview or convention thing that went really late last night," I explained. "I'll wake him up for ya."

"Thanks, Princess Belle! I gotta go board my flight, but I'll see you soon."

"Okay," I laughed. "Bye, Sean."

With a sigh I hung up the phone and rolled off my bed, book still in my hand. Already being dressed for the day, I shuffled out of my room, grabbing my coat and sliding on my shoes on.

I took a cab over to Norman's since it would be faster than walking and because its freezing outside. Christmas is sneaking up on me and I'm already starting to procrastinate towards present shopping. Its too stressful sometimes.

I'm just excited to be finally heading home to see my family. Even if I am missing Gus and our annual Christmas party because he will still be on his honeymoon.

Norman and Mingus did invite me over to celebrate with them the day before I leave though, which I'm looking forward to. I do wish I could introduce my Ma to Norman, she'd love him. My dad would probably try to convince him to go fishing with him, but he'd like him too. And I'm sure Sofie and Boom would just be exited to see him.

But maybe another time.

After paying and hopping out of the cab, I walked up to Norman's door, going to knock, but then remembered he's asleep. I also remembered that in the little plant next to his door he has a spare key, which I dug in and grabbed, expertly unlocking the door.

No lights were on inside, but the sunlight kept it from being too dark. It was peaceful here like this.

I set my stuff and the key down on his counter before quietly making my way to his bedroom down the hall. The door was a crack open, so I pushed it further, making it squeak. Norman didn't hear it at all and when I caught sight of him, I let out a small giggle. He was sprawled out on the bed, one had above his head, mouth parted open, hair ruffled up over his face, and of course no shirt on with his pajama bottoms. He was adorable, every feature of him.

And sexy, even when he sleeps.

With an evil smile on my face, I tip toed over and carefully sunk on the bed. I had taken my shoes off by the door so I didn't worry about getting his blankets dirty as I moved quickly so I was straddling his waist. The only response he had to that was his head rolling to the other side, fingers twitching.

I smirked and leaned down tickling his neck with my lips, breathing out onto his skin before I kissed his jugular. A soft moan escaped his parted lips, making me smile as I started teasing his neck, brushing my teeth against his sensitive spot while my hands ran up his chest. When I grinned my hips against his, I knew he was now awake, but still a little groggy. "Belle?" He breathed out, sounding more like a moan. My name coming out of his mouth like that made my core tighten.

I continued to bite and kiss down his neck, far enough down that I lightly bit his collar bone, still lightly grinding against him. An evil smirk was on my face the whole time.

Another moan came out of his lips, "w-what are you doing?" He cleared his throat to try and keep his posture.

A evil smile came over my lips when I felt his hardness against me, but then my smile faltered when I realized I was getting too turned on for my own good, as well. "Nothing.." I said innocently, letting my tongue dart out and tease up his neck again.

A growl escaped his lips and in a swift movement, he flipped me over so he was hovering over me, attacking my mouth with his own. He didn't hesitate to slid his tongue in between my lips, making me moan into his mouth. He had both his hands tangled in my hear, until one of them pulled away and stuck to my side, slowly moving down and down..

I smirked into the kiss, knowing that I was going to win the bet. Norman didn't even notice what he was doing- I cut myself off from that thought when Norman broke away from my lips with a jerk, hands freezing. I tried to hide the smirk on my face by biting my lip, but it was too late.

"You did not.." Norman shook his head. "You were trying to get me all worked up, huh?"

"I was just trying to wake you up.." I smiled innocently up at him.

He raised an eyebrow at me before leaning down, mouth by my ear. "I'm going to get you back for that," he breathed, sending shivers down my spine before he kissed my shoulder and sat up.

It took me a moment, but I did the same, hopping off the bed, trying to control the craving deep down for Norman. "Well, now that you're up, sleepy head, you've gotta pick up Sean from the airport," I smiled and grabbed his hands, pulling him up.

"Shit, that's right..." Norman remembered, running a hand through his messy hair.

"You get ready, I'll make breakfast," I stated.

"Lucky charms?" He teasingly raised an eyebrow.

"...Maybe.."

Norman chuckled, standing up, "thanks, babe," he gave me a quick kiss before heading into the bathroom.

I turned on my heal, going out into his kitchen. The sad thing is, I know exactly where his Lucky Charms are. I have a Lucky Charm radar and if someone has lucky charms in their house, the first thing I'll do is find them.

Gus and Veronica always keep their lucky charms in the tall cabinet by next to their fridge. Norman keeps his in the upper right cabinet next to his microwave. Reaching up, I grabbed some and two bowls nearby before going to his fridge and getting the milk.

I poured us both some and got spoons, putting everything away, then leaving his for him as I got up and sat on the counter, swinging my legs.

Norman didn't take to long getting ready, coming into the kitchen with jeans and a sweater on, hair fixed up. I smiled at him as he came over to grab his bowl and leaned against the counter next to my legs. "Moby Dick?" Norman asked, amused when he spotted the book I brought.

"Call me Ishmael," I smirked, quoting Ishmael, obviously. He was a character in the book.

Norman chuckled at me, "I remember reading that in school, hated it."

"It's not that bad!" I defended it. I never had to read it in school, so I guess maybe that's a reason why I don't dislike it?

"Whatever you say, babe," he laughed, taking his empty bowl to the sink and rinsing it out.

I jumped down from the counter and did the same with mine. "You don't have work today?" Norman asked while drying his hands. I shook my head no. "So that means you're coming with me to get Flanery."

"It does?"

"Yup," Norman smirked, throwing the towel he was using at me so I could dry my hands, but he hit me in the face on purpose. I pulled it back and whipped his arm with it while we laughed. "Oww," he whined playfully.

"Aw, my big baby," I teased him, sticking out my bottom lip. "Come on, we're gona be late," I said while I laughed, throwing the towel back at Norman before walking to where my shoes were. After sliding them on, I stood up straight, hesitating when something caught my eye. I walked over to a new frame I saw on the wall. "This is new?" I asked, not daring to touch it and get finger prints on it, but letting my eyes wander.

It was a painting that looked to be water color or something, I'm not sure, but it was a wolf that seemed to be lunging out of the paint. It was mostly a gray, white, and dark blue-ish colored painting, but it looked amazing. "Yeah, I was walking downtown the other day and saw it in the window of some store randomly and told them I had to buy it from them," he came over, standing behind me and looking at it as well.

"I like it."

"Yeah, me too," he chuckled.

"Well no shit Sherlock, that's why you bought it," I teased, prodding his ribs with a laugh before I went to grab my book and meet him by the door. "I actually bought it for inspiration," he pointed a finger at me and opened the door, letting me step out first.

"For what?" I asked curiously as we walked to the car.

"This new piece I'm working on, I'm stuck," he huffed as we got into the car, starting up the ignition.

"Painters block?" I asked and he chuckled at me, nodding.

"Painters block," he repeated with a smirk.

"I don't know much about inspiration when it comes to art, but for me I just think of all the things or people I love or the things that make me happy and let that shine through," I shrugged. "It usually works."

He didn't say anything as he turned his head to the side to look at me, flashing his white teeth in a smile that I couldn't help but return.

It wasn't too long of a drive to the airport, but enough for me to curl up in my seat and dive into my book again. It was comfortable silence with Norman that we both relished in, knowing that the craziness will arrive when Sean does.
