Too Close for Comfort

Six.

”What?” My face was turning redder.
"It’s nothing." He looked away, and before I knew it, I was being hit with a pillow.
Just like last time. We wrestled in his bed, I’d freak out and move if I thought he was about to do something.
He pinned me down, this time I wasn’t gonna freak out, I was gonna let him do what he wants. I stared up into his eyes, but then of course, there was a knock on the door. He got off me, quickly fixed the pillows, and acted like we were just watching TV.
"Dougie, mom wants you." Jazzie looked at me. "I think your leaving in a minute too." Damn.
"Alright, I’ll be down in a minute." I got up, my head was spinning. Maybe I did drink a little too much.
"You alright?" Dougie got up next to me. I slowly nodded, careful not to move my head too fast.
He walked close to me, making sure I didn’t fall. I tried to hide the smile, it was nice to see him look out for me like that, even if it was just subtle.
"I’ll see you soon?" I nodded, biting my lip. If he was gonna kiss me, it would be now.
"Dougie, get in the kitchen, now." He walked off and I walked out to the car.
How many nights are gonna go perfectly but end in disappointment?
