Break Me Down
Michelle Midland had her whole summer planned. She would spend the next four months of her life working full time at the local Target saving money to travel for a year before she went to University and painting on her days off. It wasn't a glamourous plan by any means, but it was something. Something to keep her going.
As an only child she was severely disappointing her parents by choosing to take a year off from an academic career. Unfortunately, her parents thought of her as weak minded and were convinced if they allowed her to take a year off she would never go back.
She was determined to prove them wrong, but also determined to live her life for herself.
With her friends all moving across state to attend school she was left in West Hollywood living at home and making minimum wage.
She had come to accept that her summer was going to be rather dull and lacklustre, until someone crosses her path and is determined to show her that all her plans and checklists are pointless in the grand scheme of things.
